same here, I don't get it. what was the shipping "today" about? they should have said "accepting orders today". I think I ordered within the first 5 mins.
Well my base RMBP with TBolt to ENet adapter is now in prepare for shipment and my CC has been charged.
Funny story with the MS to MS 2 adapter, it was originated from 40 miles away and it got to Fedex hub 2 miles down the road in few hours yesterday, and they refuse to deliver it till tomorrow because "it's not due for delivery."
Really Fedex? UPS would be GLAD to deliver my packages early.

Mine just flipped to "preparing for shipment" so that is a good sign. With 2-3 day shipping it should arrive on Friday or Monday.

do you get an email when it changes to "preparing for shipment" or you just keep checking their site?
Cancelled my order for my Macbook Pro Retina today. Figured it would have been delivered while I was away on vacation. I will try to see if it is in stores next week before I leave, if not, I'm sure it will be in stock when I return. Good luck to everyone hoping for an early delivery!
I've been checking the site a couple of times a day. It was processing this morning, and it is preparing for shipment this afternoon. I don't think they will email you until it actually ships.
Just a theory, I think they shipped the RMBP in the order of highest demand of Custom built spec.
I just received my package from FexEx which is: 2.7ghz/512/16Gb
I also remembered seeing other people with the same spec got shipped out at the same time as mine.
Or is it because I stated it's a company address..? Who knows.
I ordered exactly the same model. I also added an ethernet adapter. They wouldn't be delaying shipping because of the freaking adapter, would they?

Everywhere I've talked to said they won't have baseline with 16GB in store. They tell me it's only online and the stores only carry the low end, the high end and the high end maxed out.

Fedex tracking estimates delivery at 10:30am Thursday, June 14th. (Tracking History shows it in Anchorage, Alaska, as of yesterday.)

Ordered mine on the morning of the 12th, build to order with 16GB ram. 2-3 Weeks delivery estimate and still processing. This thread is gonna be fun!!
same here. I think this is the second most ordered spec (2.6,16gb,512), behind the base retina model.
A quick scan of the forums seems to indicate that the very early ordered base models and the 2.7 ghz are arriving first. (subjective and potentially inaccurate personal assessment there)
I ordered mine about an hour after the store came back up and received a shipping confirmation early this morning. FedEx tracking shows it still at FedEx in China. Says I will get by the 18th at 10:30am. I didn't pay for expedited shipping, didn't even realize that was an option.
