I have a theory that the Apple CS have a document somewhere containing a list of Air Tracking numbers to basically shut up people who are trying to track flights following a 'Dispatched' Status, but that they have little to no knowledge of exactly where each individual MacBook is. Some don't even bother by refusing to give a tracking number and some will say 'Still in China'.

My guess is it's completely random, and the only time you can be sure where your MacBook is, is when DHL/UPS/Whoever update their tracking system and show it winging it's way to you.

My theory is the data is readily available but the backend systems at Apple haven't been updated in about ten years (just look at the bug reporter - still in an iOS 6 skin!) and so it's hidden in some obscure part of the interface.

I think the reps that have given the numbers out are a rare group at the intersect of 'been in the job long enough to know the system inside out' and 'foolish enough to divulge information not already customer-accessible'! ;)

Wow mine is already in Cologne. Hope I get it on Tuesday.

Anyone know why 7CP2824 went to Luxembourg, is there a connecting flight to Amsterdam?
They're mostly going to Luxembourg and then it will go by ground to Amsterdam.
[doublepost=1479669692][/doublepost]Everyone remember the days when innocent souls were adamant their MacBook would be shipping form local distribution hubs? And when someone got a DHL text and everyone lost their ****? Ahhh, simpler times they were...

Oh wait that was only Tuesday! :D

Lol I was guaranteed that too and then my delivery date changed to the 29th. So much for guaranteeing. Twice. Customer Service is a joke.
:D
[doublepost=1479670712][/doublepost]anyone with DHL received any updates on their ACTUAL tracking number? the one offered by apple?

Nope...

But, eh, it's Sunday night, we can all start getting excited again, tomorrow is Monday, a new week, things should start moving and before we know it, we'll all be posting "out for delivery!!!" :)

i really hope so that would be awesome! :) still waiting to be positively surprised:)

I really hope we already wake up to some positive news. Would be nice for a change :D
Yes. The waiting gets annoying. Did not expect to be delivered close to the end of my window. It is enough waiting now, let the fun begin! Well... Not quite yet. :D

If the delivery is in Luxembourg enroute on the road Amsterdam with an ETA of midnight.

What do you think the chances of a delivery tomorrow in the UK?

Hopefully Tuesday, otherwise Wednesday.
No chance anyone will get them tomorrow (maybe the few UPS deliveries, but not the DHL ones)

Eventually some out if the 7CP2836 DHL batch if logistics work during the night. Don't know about customs though...

Could be that there are no news
DHL Logistics work at night and on the weekend. The only thing that they don't really do is deliver stuff :D
But customs probably don't, that is why the cargo arrived in Luxembourg this morning is waiting for clearance? Well, no idea if customs work on Sundays.
