If the delivery is in Luxembourg enroute on the road Amsterdam with an ETA of midnight.

What do you think the chances of a delivery tomorrow in the UK?
UPS would manage it: flights routinely leave at 3AM from Germany and are out for delivery by 7AM UK time (the hour time difference helps). Not sure if DHL are as proactive. I'm going to guess not.

Eventually some out if the 7CP2836 DHL batch if logistics work during the night. Don't know about customs though...

Don't think there is much chance.
Products are still in Amsterdam I think.
They need to go to Eindhoven where the pallets will be stripped and individually sent out (that is where we will all start getting updates on our tracking).
Then the next morning things will start to be delivered.

In Germany there is a truck driving prohibition on Sundays. So no MacBook will ne delivered on Monday here. Maybe Tuesday, but I think it will be Wednesday as announced by Apple.

Did Apple actually charge anyone of you already? Mine shipped and should arrive Thursday (Apple) but they didn't charge me yet and the hold fell off.

Same here. I had a hold, not anymore. Still no charge, but I got the invoice by email along with my serial number.

Not sure how relevant this will be here, but I buy a lot of stuff from Japan (I'm in the UK) that gets shipped via DHL.

Takes 2 days to get to me (unless it gets shipped on a Thursday/Friday, then it gets delivered the following Monday) - one day from Japan to Germany, then it gets to the UK on the same day or early the next morning, clears customs, makes it's way to my local depot and then out for delivery by 8am.

Seems odd that it's taking so long for you guys tracking to update - I take it it's still shipping info recieved in the Netherlands for DHL people? Did your orders ship on Thursday or Friday? I can't remember

Any news for the one with 25 Nov - 2 Dec as delivery window?
I got charged on Friday morning, but my order is still processing (15-inch stock model)
I have the 24/11-1/12 window and it's been preparing for shipment since Friday .. I hate these weekends where nothing happens!! I have no idea when it will ship and when it will arrive. I have given up on hoping for anything! Just take my money and leave me in limbo, Apple

Well, my MBP also arrived in Cologne today with the same scanning time stamp as the other UPS shipments here, so I'm happy.
I'm wondering about the DHL shipping method though. I understand from posts here that the route is Lux-AMS-EHV. Being from Eindhoven myself I don't understand that. Why is Amsterdam there? The transport by road literally passes Eindhoven (highway A2) on the way from Luxembourg to Amsterdam. It makes no sense to first go to AMS en then to EHV.

I'm in the 28/11 to 5/12 window and was charged (well, Apple put a hold on the funds) on Friday too :)

Still processing... But I'm hoping to see PFS tomorrow morning (which would be very reminiscent of my last MacBook (15" rMBP in 2012) order)

Exactly. The only explanation is that this particular shipping logistics is being run by a bunch of drunken monkeys. In fairness I should add that it could be a bunch of drunken donkeys too.

I'd say it's being shipped something along the lines of 5 day economy to Europe and then going DHL/TNT/UPS. Would make more sense for the time estimates given my apple

There is maybe no stop in Eindhoven. There is a DHL Hub in Amsterdam. So the MacBooks can get sorted there. No need for Eindhoven! Only the shipping Informations came from there. I think our MacBook will never get through Apple distribution Centers. There is no need!

That's possible.

Man, that's logistics. Could be that there is the central import hub in AMS. Just stopping a big shipment on the way at a random location where parts of it coincidentally belong in the end is just not how it works.
Every day, the UPS planes from/to Cologne fly over the house of my parents. As anology, they should shoot them down to get the goods without detour. But of course, the shipment first has to pass customs at the airport, get shipped to the delivery base and then delivered. It does not matter if your package was already very close. All logistics operate as a stream between hubs (and Eindhoven is none of them) and I'm pretty sure a lot of smart people have figured out that this is the very best approach in general. If you see it globally, it perfectly makes sense.
