I'm probably getting some serious angry responses but here I go
I really don't get why you and other are whining so much. If you don't have your macbook after your estimated delivery date, then you can whine imo.
I'm reading this thread to see if there are updates, not everyone complaining about apple.

When I ordered the new rMBP it initially said 2-3 weeks delivery. That was the 27th of Oct and that would be 10-17th of Nov.

But instead we got 17-24th which is really 3-4 weeks. I'm not surprised people are frustrated with how Apple has handled this.

Why didn't they simply put 3-4 weeks to begin with instead. While they're at it why not add another extra week of delivery and make it 4-5 weeks in EU since we're clearly getting it one week later than US. If they would've been upfront with everything I doubt there would be disappointment.

I'm with the guys if Apple have not missed the window then nothing to worry about.
I'd be more interested to be hearing about what adapters & accessories people have bought or planning to buy here in the EU, i already have a draw filled.
I got the Belkin USB-C-to-Micro-B-kabel (USB 3.1) because I have a hard drive that uses those, a regular USB-C-to-USB-adapter and I'm getting this one sent over by Amazon (will reach me earlier than the computer itself): https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KJ1HEV2/ref=pe_385721_51767431_TE_dp_1

I'm not whining. Everyone's tracking has been updated within the same time frame besides mine. I think I have a right to know why specifically my machine is so damn special it's delayed. And I don't care what you're here for. You do you, honey.
I feel for you, mine fortunately went "Preparing for Shipment" yesterday evening, but at the moment nothing more! Plus we have all the US/Canada folks who got their in these days while ordering weeks after us, plus the rest of the world the same.

Yeah, it's kind of weird that people in China and Japan are still waiting... when they're made right there. In China. Like... I don't know how their mapping and logistics work, but it's definitely not in favor of first-come-first-serve or in terms of distance traveled.

The number quoted (2–3 weeks, for example) is the shipment date, not the delivery one! Still kinda agree with you...

Agreed! It should at least be kinda first-come-first-serve! If I ordered my 15" today I would get a shipping date 4–5 weeks away or a pickup on January 5!

I didn't know there was a dedicated thread for the EU as well

I just posted something in the bigger thread wich would have been of more use in here so I'll just copy my msg in here again...:

A little information I found out for people in Europe...

Next Saturday all macbook pro models will be in the apple store in Belgium.

"Edit: I might have had a misunderstanding with a friend of mine. I understood these would be for sale as well but it might be only display models... somebody else called the appel store and they told him they would only have stock mid-december..."

Unfortunately I will still have to wait a month to receive mine and I can't cancel it because then I would't be able to get it with a discount

And to make it even worse, I first had a delivery 2nd week of december but because I wanted to pay by visa and they "couldn't" change it (in Belgium we get an extra warranty if we buy something with visa which would give me 4yr warranty instead of 2).
I ordered a new one again but with a delivery date at the end of december

I called them again to see if they could just change it with the delivery date of my first order which I would cancel but they "couldn't" do that either
They would rather ship me my first order which I would return again within 2 weeks and then ship me my second order as well....

Not to happy with apple costumer service ....

This is my fear. That the Apple Stores, and perhaps some electrical retailers like Currys (in the UK) will get stock ahead of the pre-orders, however many of us ordered applying a discount (mine was a company scheme for online orders) so cancelling and purchasing locally isn't really an option.

As I've said earlier - I'm ok with people elsewhere getting theirs early, but I will not be happy if any old punter can roll up to a high-street store and walk out with a MBP whilst the first couple of tranches of pre-order are still to be shipped to Apple customers who ordered on the night of the keynote.

Just tried to view my order and got the "we've got something special for you" thing... Are they releasing something?

lol, someone on the main shipping thread (which is now painful to read) received theirs today and only ordered it last Thursday!

I guess that Apple will take care of their home/biggest-market first, but still it is hugely annoying to be witnessing from a long distance.
Yeah, I noticed, I replied a little annoyed ;):(

The Apple Stores in the US have so much stock it's appalling. Literally, they are even stocking BTO models. I have returned to a state of outrage.

Even Canadian stores have them in stock!

Let's remember what Preparing for Shipment means. It means your product exists and is boxed up ready to go. So for the last 30 hours they have just sat collecting dust in a warehouse, delaying their delivery from Friday to Monday at the earliest. WTF are Apple doing?!

If UK stores start selling them before I receive my pre-order then this will certainly be the last time I ever pre-order anything with Apple

I'm afraid that's probably going to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if Regent's Street have stock this coming weekend

I'm perhaps a bit behind @Brookzy, why is Monday the earliest they could come?
They're coming by UPS Worldwide Express Saver. 9:30AM UK time on Wednesday morning was the deadline to arrive by Friday. It still hasn't shipped, so Monday is the earliest.

If I can pick up a BTO config in store in the next few days, even if its the maxed out 13 inch i7, I will refuse delivery of my still-in-China laptop and ask for a refund.

Oh dear Apple, I was hopeful that you had us all fooled. Unfortunately the paranoia on here looks to be justified. You have missed the 2-3 week shipping claim on my order so now watch the paranoia rightly start to turn to utter frustration & anger. You are now going to be struggling to meet the delivery window originally stated which was tight for me from the start.

Gutted as I work overseas & head back on Monday. Loyal Apple customer for +20yrs & now kind of had enough with how I'm being treated. Harder to accept when there is clearly geographical preferences. Add this to the current GoPro, DJI farce & it's like being beaten up by 3 bullies at the same time....this 1st world really sucks

I'm going in store today, if they have them, I'll buy one , and never preorder again. I'll just refuse delivery.

What I have learned from Apple pre-orders in recent years is that it is rhe worst shopping experience , I can get the product faster in an Apple Store or a 3rd party, Apple online generally comes last.

It used to be be the other way around, pre-order was rhe best experience .

I'm perfectly fine with my delivery arriving within said window of 17 to 24..... But not if I can walk into store today and get a unit there. The part that disappoints me is that the most loyal customers would have pre-ordered and Apple gloats about the volume of pre-orders and yet takes them for granted. The more I think about it Tim Cook is Steve ballmer , maximising profit and milking it's user base.

Nice mine changed this night to P4S :)
