My worry is that this is our tracking from NL but the actual MacBooks are still in China...
We could be looking at this DHL tracking not moving until Monday, and then suddenly it will update & we will receive the next day :(

No, then they are going over Leipzig (DHL Hub) for Germany and not over NL. Shipping from China parcel by parcel is very expensive. So they might be shipped to NL, get sorted and than shipped with DHL to customers. This an be a reason for the delay. Sorting takes some time.

if it's the last delivery date for most.... then I worry mine won't get to me till the 14th Dec :'(

I think there are 2 scenarios

1) The Macs are still in China and they have just created the labels in NL for shipping when they arrive, and then the tracking will update, and therefore it would be likely to arrive on the 23rd/24th

2) They are already in NL and Apple are just listing the latest end of window date as DHL haven't provided them the updated real delivery date yet.

I hope it is option 2.

The date is wrong. DHL can transport your Macbook two times around the world until 23th.
They can, but in the past BTO's from China to Europe usually stopped in South-Korea, Kazachstan, Poland and Germany and from there went on their way by truck, that whole process took about 4-5 days.

worst thing is, i got my text like first of all but my order still says P4S... Still nothing from the shipping number either.

It's not very likely, my wife's MBP (15") had a 17-24 delivery range, now it's estimated on the 23rd.

Would option 2 mean that we can see delivery as early as tomorrow?
