They can, but in the past BTO's from China to Europe usually stopped in South-Korea, Kazachstan, Poland and Germany and from there went on their way by truck, that whole process took about 4-5 days.

But with UPS right? Or DHL?

And we saw a DHL Express tracking from Eindhoven a few pages before. Maybe he was one of the first who get the tracking number.

Shipping! 15" BTO! I got the mail a few minutes ago. It says it will arrive on 23rd, but I hope for an earlier date.
As said a 100 times brefore: It's happening!

That's normal the first is on hold to make sure you have the money, then it drops ready for the actual charge

yeah, but the actual charge is still missing Usually, it shows me that the hold "materializes" but it's just gone

The tracking number says nothing more then DHL have a booking from Netherlands. Its not picked up or anything.

Just checked my DHL tracking number, can't find it either.
This does give me some hope that the dates are just placeholders until DHL updates them.

It also gives customers a reason to be happy about Apple (and their conservative delivery dates):

"look they said it would be delivered on the 23rd and it already came on the 18th"

FYI when my iPhone 7 was despatched by DHL on a Wednesday night it as expected to arrive on the following Friday. It actually arrived on Monday. So if the estimate is the 24th it could be Monday it arrives.
