Glossy screen all the way for me. It really makes the colors pop. Also, how scratch resistant is this really?

I remember the track pad scratching the coating on my 2012 MBP back in the day

Can someone comment on 1) what this screen will do to battery life 2) how this impacts weight overall 3) Is this worth it if you dont work outside?

This is big.

"it comes with a polishing cloth that’s made with soft, non-abrasive material for safe cleaning" - Does this mean that the Nano texture gets damaged easily?
More like clean with this please, instead of finding a t-shirt. If it ain't microfiber, you can damage all kinds of finishes and screens.

Ordered the 16 Pro. Desiring to see that nano texture. 2011 17" mate keeps as my favourite display.

It can get easily scratched just like the aluminum model Apple Watch screen. Never clean said display with anything other than the cloth that comes with the Nano screen.

I went with the glossy one and am wondering if I should just go with the nano texture.

I've used both and don't give a crap. Every screen in my house except my iPhone and my wife's Pixel is 60hz. My personal desktop 4k monitor is 60hz, both TVs are 60hz, my work monitors are 60hz, wife's Surface tablet is 60hz, kid's Switch is 60hz...
That's good. You've definitely convinced me there's a market for the 60Hz screen crowd.

I hope they have recessed the keyboard a bit so it doesn't leave oily key impressions on this (very expensive) display.

I've seen the nano-texture glass on the iPad Pro, and it is very impressive as an anti-glare surface, while not impacting colour fidelity.

In 2010s i was using 720P dell matte screen. It was washed out but was really easy on the eye. Since then i upgraded to retina macs and all of that, so probably would be hard to go back to the same feeling.

Glossy - color pop but reflective as a mirror.
Nano - washed out colors but easier on the eyes.

The previous generation of MBP will be a much better option. Wait for the deals coming soon. The 60Hz screen on the air is pure garbage.
The non-OLED 120hz displays Apple continues to put out are garbage, too. Pixel response time is beyond horrific.

If you do visual creative work the Nano-texture display is a no go. The display casts a blurry fog on all your content. It's not important or very noticeable for the average user, but sharpness details are lost a bit on fine detail/text. If the client asks why something is blurry, you won't be able to see what they are talking about because everything is fuzzy on your end. This isnt like the matte displays they offered in 2017.

For consuming content the nano-texture is great.

Edit - my review on Nano texture is for the Studio Displays. Maybe they are doing laptops differently? But it sounds like same technique.

I highly advise Mac users to keep the thin white sheet that comes with a new Mac and keep putting that between the screen and keyboard. If one doesn’t have that, one can use a very, very thin Apple cloth or sheet of paper.

I still dont get the idea of loving matte or nano texture as it kills the contrast ratio and no advantages over glossy displays in many ways.

1: essentially nothing
2: see #1
3: That's going to be up to you. If you have an Apple Store nearby they keep glossy/nano Studio Displays on, well, display, and you could see if one looks notably better to you than the other.

Wish they would offer a matte screen like they did back on the 2008 MacBooks with the polycarbonate bodies.

Nice option. I hate the glossy screens. However, I wish it was the standard matte coating by the panel manufacturer (see external displays and pc laptops with matte display) so it’s less fragile
