See above. I've seen it work 50% of the time. Then again, I've seen it not work 50% of the time. In those cases the person attempting the stunt was seen (by me and various other bystanders) lead out of the store in handcuffs

I made no calls to Apple, SB manager saw the e-mail delay ship e-mail Saturday morning and followed up. Wow.
Going to be checking first thing in the morning and all day from work.....
both the Apple site and my order status.

If there is an imminent release (which unfortunately is now unlikely this week as it is now 5pm UK time/9am CA time on Tuesday with no updates), your order would most likely be delayed and then the new one would ship. Otherwise, you would get a price reduction - probably around $200 because yours was now old tech. If you receive it and it is the old version, you could try to force yourself not to open it and then return it within 14 days. Then re-buy the new one.
