They will likely use air. I think what's going to happen is it's going to arrive to Louisville today/early AM tomorrow to get on a jet that leaves Louisville to your city. I think you might be able to get your laptop tomorrow if you're lucky, Monday at the latest.

Good luck!
Spot on sir! Let's see if I get a delivery date.

I'm interested in what the rep(s) have to say. I reached out to UPS but they could not provide me with any useful information.
I spoke with UPS this morning. Standard 800 rep > int'l rep (blind forward) > int'l supervisor.
Basically song and dance about China Golden Week shutdown, plus fewer flights due to ... (can't say it Fight Club) ... COVID and pilot shortage...

Golden Week ended 3 weeks ago...
But see my link above

Mine was earlier than those moving through.. which tells me... damaged/destroyed.

You are about the same as most of us (1:18am scan). So I think you are also in the same container as rest of us. I saw posts earlier some people received damaged macbook pro so yeah, I agree UPS is total disaster. But I guess either how BTOs were fulfilled were messed up or how UPS put them into container was totally random, so some later orders got through while earlier orders didn’t make it. So I’d say still have hope that our orders leave today or tomorrow.

Looks like you might be one of the ones who escaped the 1:1X packages :)

That gives me hope that they're not damaged or anything.. let me do some digging on planned flights..
Today around 4pm EST and around midnight (4am if I recall). One to Incheon and one to Narita.

I really think UPS just had messed up sorting and filling in containers. Also likely at one point how BTOs got to hands of UPS, orders got totally messed up. (typical UPS…)

If it helps, it's delivering to the Austin, TX area..

So I did some research, there's two flights that left ICN to PVG:

- Tail N626UP (UPS84): Arrived 20 minutes ago (12:29 AM local time)
- Tail N322UP (UPS92): Arriving in 43 minutes (1:36 AM local time)

I suspect the fact that they sent two planes was to make up for the missed flight when the 747 tipped over, because N626UP is a 747. I might throw a wild guess that things were packaged in a container that fits a 747 and no 747's had flown into PVG (didn't check this fact). If you're interested, you can follow this:

I believe that perhaps the planes will hopefully be loaded up today and leave at 6-8AM to arrive at ICN, then continue their journey to Anchorage and Louisville to arrive during the day on Friday (similar to the tracking that @effraxofwug has). However, the bummer will be that by then, they'll likely arrive to the local destinations the night after (Saturday) and they won't be out for delivery until Monday.

This actually perfectly lines up with some of the folks getting Nov 1st delivery date (and I think some Canadians getting November 3rd) in the order status page. Also, I suspect that UPS is not rushing because it promised Apple a certain date and they have no urgency to send pallets in advance.

Disclaimer: I'm just talking out of my ass and none of this could be true, but I feel like it all adds up :)

I don't want to jinx anything, but if it's in Louisville already right now and you live in Austin, I suspect you'll (hopefully) have it at your hands tomorrow cause I can't imagine it sitting in Louisville for a day.

Good luck :)

There's usually 2 a day between Shanghai and Incheon (see below). And generally they're about 10 min apart. I'm hopeful that we land on these - otherwise it'll likely be one of the 4 flights out on Sunday. It doesn't appear that they run any on Saturday.

Today we want to be on the 5X81 or 5X91 routes. Both of these are PVG>INC>ANC>SDF.

Okay, so here we go.
I just checked and on UPS mychoice, my delivery has been re-scheduled to November 3rd (also what it says now from Apple). So I think we have more chance of finally leaving Shanghai today. Then, I think it will stay a day or so and catch flight to Anchorage from Incheon or Narita. They should arrive at Louisville likely on Monday, leaving chances for Tuesday delivery or Wednesday as they say.

Also, adding what I've been told about applecare. I was told and have successfully re-adjusted applecare expiration date (this one was for ipad pro in 2020). I was one of unfortunate case (really minor group affected with local sorting facility issues). So we should be very easy to re-adjust our applecare expiration date.

Looks like my MBP cleared customs and I got my delivery date finally... somehow I got lucky. From Nov 5-8 to Oct 29th. Best of luck to everyone else who's still waiting, fingers crossed that a whole shipment wasn't destroyed!

Mine says the same now… let’s hope we get some movement today.
