08:29 scan. Does this mean a good chance of a Monday delivery in the USA?
Yep, if it left Korea it’s probably on it’s way to AK right now. I estimate that’ll arrive sometime during the night (it’s 6:25p here) and from there to KY or something, then to your nearest distribution center. If the planes go turbo, maybe Friday 29th but I doubt it. Expect delivery Monday if everything goes to plan

Not a chance Friday really since it is at least 12 hours from ICN-SDF nonstop (which isn't happening) which means 9am Friday at best for arrival at the UPS hub.

My MBP arrived yesterday well before FedEx and Apple estimated, but I’m almost more excited for my wife’s to arrive after this mess… so glad to see it leave Shanghai and now South Korea in quick succession… Anchorage here we come! @Nocturnal-G also saw delivery change from Nov 3 to 2

All of those airplanes are still being operated by Atlas or ATI. No flight crews work for Amazon, nor would I expect Amazon to be interested in bringing it in-house - it's easier to keep costs low when you can whipsaw the various contract carriers against each other. :)
Apple could do the same thing.

I think that barring any surprises, you're getting it Monday.

The packages are likely on UPS89 (or could be UPS91, they took off not long apart, but UPS89 is closer to scan time). They will arrive to Anchorage between 10:30 and 11 PM local time.

There is a scheduled flight leaving at ~11:20 and another one at ~1:26AM respectively, there is a really strong chance they will end up on any of those two, but they would arrive at 9:15 AM and 11:40 AM EDT on Friday respectively. That'll be too late since all flights leave out of Louisville really early AM to be able to arrive at their destinations early AM for the drivers to bring those packages on time.

In my case, I live in Montreal, so the flight that leaves Louisville to Montreal usually leaves at 4~5AM ET to arrive at 6-7AM ET, so... I may or may not try my luck at picking it up from the airport :)

tl;dr: packages are going to arrive to Anchorage shortly, then arrive to Louisville Friday AM, then likely arrive to your city Saturday AM, for delivery on Monday.

I wonder if I could upgrade it to Saturday delivery…… My choice has not worked at all for this or my 13 Pro Max package, it just says that there are no incoming packages, so I don’t know *if* I can even upgrade it.

Usually it's the shipper that would have to arrange for this, and usually the Saturday deliveries are pretagged and labeled at a very early point in the delivery, I don't know if it can be added much later.

MacBook Pro M1 Max 16" 64GB RAM 2 TB enroute to the US Northeast. Ordered on release day 10/18.

Does anyone have tracking that looks like this? It went from Shanghai to ZhengZhou.

Tracking.jpg

My tracking stopped after it arrived in Anchorage overnight. Looks like the Tuesday scheduled date is going to be accurate. There are many flights from Anchorage to Louisville today, but most of the routes (via ground) between the regional facilities and local hubs don't run on the weekends.

Excited for next week tho!

Still doesn't make much sense since we were on 5x91 if we check arrival time at Anchorage. So this means UPS really decided too offload our container since it didn't look "urgent" for them...

or the scan/track is garbage. Pick one.
My experience is that UPS doesn't have space to hold things in ANC - but they absolutely do at Worldport and destination sort (Atlanta, Miami, Newark, etc.).

I'm counting on this one. Knowing UPS and actually our scans for departures were not aligned, I guess we still have chance. I would be shockingly surprised if UPS really decided to work so efficiently, just poorly timed!

Same here. I was hoping for a Saturday delivery miracle but that is out of the window. Sort of sucks ?

Yea, most of the flights to the UPS regional facilities leave Louisville late afternoon. I think for mine its like 5:30p Eastern or so? So it would need to be on one of these flights out in the next couple hours.

RE: Saturday delivery - I think this is only available on a few select shipping options - and in my experience Apple doesn't use it. I think the lowest option they offer it on is 2nd Day Air, and even then its not guaranteed. The package must be tagged with a Saturday delivery sticker. Believe it costs additional too.

Shoot, if it ends up at my local hub by tomorrow morning I would gladly go pick it up. But I'm thinking thats likely not going to be the case - and I think most of the local hubs are closed to customers Saturdays too.

I don't think that can count ourselves entirely out of luck. I think we were on UPS89 and not UPS91, which is a 747-800. The same flight was turned around to go to Incheon again.

There is another 747-800 which is going to Louisville leaving in a few hours, and all the other ones are leaving to arrive very early AM on Saturday, well before most flight go to your cities.

Oh nice! Did you get an Departure scan from Anchorage? I didn't - so I assume mine isn't on 5X91.

Or do you believe the scans are just that delayed? - I like this optimism! :)
Yes, I think it's more this way. I remember my ipad pro had delays for departure scan before so I'm not surprised if they totally missed it.
