I didn’t, but I live in Canada so it’s not going into customs until it lands here (hopefully tomorrow).anyone else get an ‘Import Scan’ at 12:10am?
Perhaps apply with UPS and be the guy to fix things!Well despite your poetic analogy, I have empirical evidence via 4 recent packages delivered by UPS, and 2 via DHL. All 6 had delays and **** ups.
Same, doesnt look like it made it on any of the NY bound flights. I think if they fly out later tonight or early tomorrow AM, there’s a chance of delivery on Monday, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.mine didn’t make the Boston flight last night. Still on KY. Not delivering until Tuesday. Ugh!!
im just going to let it play out and see how long it takes to get delivered. i got tired of waiting earlier this week and picked one up at my local apple store. when this one comes i will just return it.Do you have UPS MyChoice? Log on via the website and cancel the pending request. I just did for mine… just in case it was going to get delivered somewhere else.
My original assertion was that Apple should consider getting their own fleet of cargo aircrafts to complement their transportation and logistics system, similar to what Amazon is doing. That doesn't mean that they need to operate the fleet. Amazon is currently using a combination of leased and owned aircrafts, in addition to third-party carriers.Exactly. If UPS doesn't work for Apple, they'll use someone else. If Atlas/ATI doesn't work for Amazon, they'll use someone else. But neither of them are handling the flying in-house, which was the original assertion.
nice!!Mine made the flight to CLT this morning. Departed CLT at 7:17a, waiting on it to arrive at my local hub. Provided it does - the UPS agent I spoke with said I should be able to pick it up today. Hopefully they unload that trailer today, and not wait until Monday!
Yea, my hope is slowly fading. Truck left CLT at 7:17a, and still no Arrival scan at local hub. (only 40 min away from airport). I'm hoping they're not waiting to unload the truck until Monday...nice!!
Mine is waiting to clear right now.. i don’t think I have a chance at picking it up today but we’ll see..
Well, on the plus side, if you took it to the beach you'd probably just get sand in it...?Yea, my hope is slowly fading. Truck left CLT at 7:17a, and still no Arrival scan at local hub. (only 40 min away from airport). I'm hoping they're not waiting to unload the truck until Monday...
I leave for the beach in 3 hours.

Yeah. I’m getting the feeling mine might be going ground rather than air… Sigh. Wouldn’t be so bad if we hadn’t had the initial delay in Asia.I am not sure if I can pick it up today.
No update since it left Louisville.
I have no idea where it is going, there 5 airport hubs in Florida. Most of them landed at 4-5AM.
If UPS ground shipping moves after 8am, I might have a very small chance to get it today.
“It is significant that Amazon has purchased the aircraft, as opposed to leasing carriers, as it should lead to lower overall lifetime costs, greater control over the speed, reliability and quality of service, and accelerate its aim of cementing the brand as a genuine player in the competitive world of air freight,” Logistics Manager reporter Michelle Mooney told BBC.But if Apple doesn't control the operation of the fleet, how does that improve reliability? UPS and FedEx are already the gold standard amongst cargo operators from an operational standpoint. Amazon is doing what they're doing to lower costs, reliability be damned.
Brilliant idea!Perhaps apply with UPS and be the guy to fix things!
