Bluetooth 2.THREE + EDR

Has no one questioned that the Bluetooth is now classed as 2.3? I've never seen, and can't find this spec for Bluetooth... Potentially some sort of NFC implementation for pairing with iPhones and the like?

I've looked on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, and Wiki (which is usually updated quickly on the Bluetooth front), but cannot find this classification anywhere?

Yeah.. No this is fake..

Yeah.. No ?

Conflicted much ?

Unless your dyslexic, it is already confirmed to be legitimate on the front page news. :);)

Awesome logic, its Apples fault that Intel doesnt support it....

Awesome logic there. It's clear he means Intel hardware supports it technically, but Apple has chosen to not implement it. But you have taken it up completely backwards.

Liquidmetal!! :D

Doesn't look aluminum, though, does it?

It makes It clear they're still on Al.

Yes I know, I am clearly exaggerating, thank god the specs are still a little better than what you find in a laptop that goes for a third of the price ;)

I am aware that when you're buying a mac, you're getting more than just a spec list, however I still feel likethis would be a severely underpowered computer for its price category in 2011...

I especially think that low resolution is gonna look really bad when they display it right next to an air at the stores. It already does but at least the MBPs had the excuse that they hadn't been updated yet

You are still exaggerating. :)

It's got the i5 in it. Somehow an i5 is severely underpowered? I'm not sure what planet you are from.

I am actually excited about the i5 in the low end 13. Once I put an ssd in that thing....it will be almost perfect. I do wish it had better resolution.

Better resolution would be worthless without a decent GPU inside, integrated SB just won't perform as good as current under "heavy" duty.

I write the way I speak ;)

eg. yeah.. [pause] no, this is fake.

"Yeah", as in pondering over other peoples claims that its real... you don't have to understand that, it's pretty weird :p

Just because it's been "Confirmed Legitimate", doesn't mean its real - they've shown no proof whatsoever...

Unless you're dyslexic. Lol

LOL. I blame the ipad i'm typing on :p:D

Only joshing you.

But generally when it's confirmed legitimate on the front page news and with a photo as evidence we can assume that Arn and the team have confirmed with their sources that this is real and from more than one source to clarify it's legitimacy.

I think it's safe to say that the redesign will take place in 2012. If you can hold out until then!!!

HAHA, nah my current MBP won't last that long. As long as this refresh is worthwhile, I'll upgrade. Anything at this point, is better then what I've got now.

Talk about an anti-climax

Well, if they anounce an event for next week, we now know 100% that it´s going to include something new besides this. They will not just go "thunderbold yay!" - So if there is an event there will be something new... maybe an iPad?

I agree, I thought Apple would have chosen the i3 to be more cost-effective on the 13"

Never ever heard someone say "Yeaaaah.....noooo" irl? Also its funny that you say dyslexic when you always put a space before "?".....but anyways, sooo how much proof do you have that the "legitimate" proven images actually comes from a legitime source?

The post you quoted said Sandy Bridge = USB3 which is NOT true.

Well, the very low resolution is a dealbreaker for me. A BTO option would be OK, but for some reason I'm worried after having seen these images :(

Just sold my 2008 MBP today, in anticipation of the new 13-inch MBP with a 1440x900 screen. Why would they put it in the Air and not in the MBP? I can understand with the SSD's, since they are so expensive compared to HDD's, but I see no reason why Apple wouldn't bump the resolutions across all their 13" models. Clearly the small extra price would be covered by the increase in volume!?

What a load of crap. That's a Mini Display Port. Totally fake. The pictures are photoshopped.

Possibly, or possibly it is just a combination miniDP and lightpeak port, just as it is rumored that lightpeak ports will be combined with USB3 ports. It makes sense for Apple, their cinema displays now only need 2 cables to connect with the laptop: magsafe and miniDP/lightpeak.
