Lmfao if those are really the only changes then apple lost my buisness to alienware.

If you went from apple to alienware, you never had realistic expectations of what apple was going to offer in the first place.

-Old aluminum unibody design that they've had for almost 3 years now. It's old, everyone has it, and you don't stand out compared to people who have had the thing back when core duo was out and 2gb of ram was staple.. rofl.

What's wrong with it? How would you improve?

-Processors aren't impressive. Apples competition have better.

Apple's competition has the same processors. If you were expecting quads, you had unrealistic expectations.

-Aluminum heats up if you are doing intensive editing/etc. Overall bad heat dispersal.

The shell heating up indicates good heat dissipation.

Lose the optical drive. If they are never going to put in a Blu-ray drive they might as well use the volume for something more practical.

I agree. Doesn't surprise me that they didn't do it though.

so your telling me that the 13' has no chance with the intel hd 3000 graphics card to play SC2?

it may but it wouldnt be any better to what the 320m can handle. best case scenario, they would probably perform the same, but i doubt hd3000 would perform any better,

ahahahahah i have to say when you said "yesterdays technology at tomorrows prices" i just started cracking up..whether its from annoyance and just plane insanity idk but i did ahah

Haha well someone else here said that I can't remember who. Thought it was genius. I wish at their event people just started chanting "overrated" and PC manufacturers started getting aggressive on spec vs spec commercials and make people begin asking questions.

Apple in a way has no competition, and that is bad. Technically they do, but it a gray area.

My work gave me a brand new lenovo with an i3 in it and it says 6 hours of batter life on the box.. i can't even get 3 out of it doing just web and email. Sure windows 7 is a step up, but i was mosly referring to the reliability of the laptops themselves. Almost everyone i knew in college who started off with an hp/dell/whatever PC had it completely die on them within 2-3 years.
Apple laptops are more stable and more reliable and the OS is 1000 times better. Sure your grandma probably doesnt need one, but I am much more effecient using SL than i am with any windows OS. Also windows copies everything from apple, and they dont even do it well. I do music production and an i5 is going to greatly improve the amount of rtas plugins I can load w/o killing the cpu. I dont give a **** if starcraft 2 doesnt run on high settings, if you do, get a PC. If you've never owned a mac then you have never experienced how much smoother everything is. If you dont have one you cant judge it on specs alone. I was like you befor i got one, but i got sick of windows crashing on every update that came out. I thought they were too expensive too.. i picked one up and I will never ever ever go back. I tried both worlds, hell i even own a pc (granted its a hackintosh now), And my experience with apple laptops is much better.

Replies like these are just as dumb as the ones saying that they would rather buy a 1 ft thick Alienware

But what is the black shaped object on the box? Lower left of pic.

Windows 7 is extremely stable and reliable. Do not spread FUD. Also, Lenovo has new laptops that have up to 15 hours of life with standard batteries. Apple does not lead the pack in hardware or software, only presentation.

I can't believe some people actually think Apple's computers process magical bits. Their stuff is just NOT "better".

Are these the models you're talking about? I see 9 hours max for the 14 inch and 11 hours for the 15. Extended hours means "bottom sleeve battery life," whatever that means.

And Lenovo laptops are not inexpensive. A 14-inch spec'd as close as I can get to the 13-inch MBP is around $1300.

Mind you, I'm not bashing Lenovo or Windows 7. I looked very closely at the thin, long-life PC laptops before settling on a MBP. Prices were comparable for laptops with similar performance, but the MacBook has a nicer interface. And no PC laptop can run OSX. That's the real reason I switched.

okay dude we all use computers for different reason so if someone wants to know certain things their allowed to ask. we dont need you parading around and blabbing why windows suck this and that because for the most part no one is down for this new refresh. so chill amigo

anyone else think these verified leaks are purposeful?

i Gave up already on seeing a 13" MBP that has something decent under the hood in terms of discreet graphics.

Now I want to see the 15" and 17" Heres to hoping that we are not as dis-appointed when they hit the shelves.

I know that the i7 quad core is a 45w as supposed to a 35w but if indeed apple gives us the BTO option of swapping the ODD for another HDD or SDD maybe they will give the option of if we dump the ODD then we can upgrade to the i7 quad as well.

I just don't see why people want a black mac. It looks much too pc-ish and it doesn't really fit with any other mac product out there (mac, not apple, the macs are computers and yes, I know that the iPhone is black). The only redesign I'd like to see is liquidmetal dark grey that would match the banner on the apple website; but that is just a personal opinion.

And I lol'd at the box handle excitement.
