That's interesting. Kinda goes against Moore's law, no? Any idea why this is?
Demand has been higher than supply.

Apple is hosting an event in Las Vegas? Have they done one there before?
Do you seriously even care? What would it even matter?![]()
The fact that I called the people at the hotel? It's not like like I bothered them. I told them up front that I wasn't really looking to book a room, but just needed some information on a possible conference. They were more than happy to help me out.
If you are just calling me a douche, that's a different story for a different thread, not to mention a classic of example of, "Hey look, I can say whatever I want when I'm hidden behind a computer screen!".

Yes, a lot of us care. An Apple event means they are going to be announcing/releasing something for (almost) sure.
I'd be more than happy to call your action douchey to your face...I wasn't calling you a douche at all. I have no idea the extent of your personality or character. I just think (as I mentioned, "in my opinion), that calling a hotel to try and perpetuate a rumor is a bit douchey.
I am all about a new Macbook Pro and am gitty as a schoolboy to get one...but wouldn't be calling a hotel about it!![]()

Oh yeah, I care. So I assume that you don't? It's funny because you just commented in this topic.
So you would rather dig through 8 billion pages of people saying "Hey look, the event contact's email says SW Steakhouse on it!"?
I called to get it over with. Either the answer would be a yes or a no.

Intel co-founder Gordon Moore is a visionary. In 1965, his prediction, popularly known as Moore's Law, states that the number of transistors on a chip will double about every two years.

why would anyone care if "Apple ever hosted an event in Las Vegas before".
If you read my original post, I was asking for confirmation that Apple was holding an event period. The question about it being in Las Vegas was an after thought.
Also, if you didn't notice, this is a discussion forum.

I don't think he was perpetuating a rumor so much as attempting to confirm or deny. Not at all odd to seek facts. Or douchey, whatever douchey is.
Which is perfectly fine for you to think. That is an opinion, as was mine. Now...it'd be ok to move on. After all, I'm sure there are plenty more "They better update the 13" and "Do you think they will be available the same day" posts to come.
You're correct, great observation. I was adding to the discussion, specifically...I was asking a question.
Wait....no 13" update?!?!
I don't want to p*** on anyone's fire but I wouldn't build yourself up too much over NAB 2010. The appearance of Apple is only another rumour and nothing is confirmed as yet. Also, its not going to be easy trying to get a good pitch with an event which has already started as most of the prime or good spots were allocated months back.
Also, if Apple are to make an appearance, I would find it a bit strange and out of place to use this event to announce a major new range of hardware releases. If anyone is familiar with NAB, you'll know what I mean. XServe and Mac Pro maybe, FCS definitely yes, but not Mac mini, MacBook etc.
I really, really hope I am wrong about Apple and NAB 2010 but we'll see eh. I'm rather looking forward to eating my words.
