MacBook Pro Updates Imminent (Really), Part Numbers Appear

Not tomorrow

It aint gonna happen tomorrow folks. We would have heard something more solid from a better source than Best Buy's door greeter by now.
 
Well if it doesn't happen we've found one thing out: Apple are struggling to meet the demand for it's products.

Lmao, love your logic. After the iPad event and Aperture release day can certainly relate to that line of thought.

Apple.com taking to UK store

Did any one notice that clicking Buy in apple store takes you to UK apple store page?

I just stay in the US store. I'm located in Belgium though, maybe that makes the difference :) Really hoping for the update to be true, but I'm afraid it won't happen again. Here in Antwerp there's a store where there's an action running; if you bring in an old computer a 100€ goes of the price of all MACBOOK's and MACBOOK PRO's, that action is still running until the 15th of april so wouldn't it be strange for the new MBP's to come out before that date?

Here in Charleroi too... I hadn't noticed it was until the 15th... You make a point there, but maybe they're trying to get people into buying a new MBP as soon as it's out cause you can get 50€ to 100€ off your mac. Assuming new price - 50€ shouldn't be that great of a loss...

Actually, you might be right about that. I thought the download pane was expressed in bits. So actually, If I multiply 1.2 x 8, I would get 9.6 Mb/s. So actually, my 8Mb/s connection peaks at about 9.6 Mb/s. But most of the time it's 150-400 KB/s making it 1.2 Mb/s- 3.2 Mb/s.

Would be a good thing... If the MBP's come out tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and the promotion is still running, I'll be running to the store to get one I guess. Glad I found out about this rumour in time, I almost went to the store with an old broke crappy desktopcomputer to get myself a non updated MBP... Can't wait for them to come out, will be my first mac purchase.

I'm still mystified why we are hearing nothing about the Mac Pro. It is LONG overdue for an upgrade. I'm hoping it will be updated at the same time as the MBP, but with the lack of any smoke, I doubt it. :(

Who comes up with this scheiss? Chuck at "Buy More"? And don't complain about the price. How are we going to keep the riff raff away. Do you want just ANYBODY to be able to afford our computers? Are you nuts. Why buy them if everybody could have one, I mean, why bother!!!

now my wait begins

Once these new ones come out I can start waiting for the next gen to come out late this year/early next because if you wait til the 2nd gen of a Mac based on a new chip to be released you can buy a refurb of the 1st gen version at a 28% or so price cut.

95% of not coming out tomorrow. That apple insider says they would be getting a shipment in on tuesday/wednesday. That means at least a thursday release, the soonest..
