MacBook Pro Updates Imminent (Really), Part Numbers Appear

I just went to the Apple online store and ALL models of Mac Book Pro are available for shipping within 24 hours. Seems strange, if there truly will be an update tomorrow.

Work for a apple reseller too and I went to Order a 15" macbook pro and was told there was none due to a possible change of machines. Told my rep i needed for for 2 weeks time and he said new pros will be ready to go by den!! We never have a prob with stock before till nw. I cant wait

LOL!! This whole bunch of people calling each other douches now is awesome. :p I think we've gotten right past the passive stage and on to actual aggression. As we get closer to the expected update, some folks seem to be turning increasingly upon each other to relieve the frustration. The nasty quotient is definitely climbing with each passing day. But we should all be thankful that we are here to catch it and hopefully spare these folks' spouses and offspring. :rolleyes:

At this point the macbook is entirely dead and I'm on my Y2K Quicksilver G4, typing with one of those roll-up rubbery keyboards. (The kind that turn typing into something like an arcade game, arrgh.) I know that I am in good, or at least numerous company, in being more than ready for the update.
 


Thats with Time Warner's cable. I wish I could get fios though I hate my upload speed and I upload stuff all the time. :(

Anyway can't wait for the updates if there are any. If they update it I have a good $3000 to spend on a 15 inch. I am currently using a mac mini with 1gb ram and it is just not keeping up with what I need it to do, not to mention I will be going to college after next year so I am expecting this purchase to last me a few years :) just waiting for them to update.

Agree and disagree. I haven't used the superdrive in the last 8 months, but it's nice when you scower eBay for cheap CD's. It sure would be an interesting decision, but I doubt that Apple would do something that drastic. I agree with the USB 3.0, and it would be great if they allowed audio to travel over the minidisplay port and included a minidisplay to HDMI adapter. If they do go with Blu-Ray, I would expect that they would make it easier for patrons to see their videos on their LCD's.
 
F*** the internet speeds, let's talk about the upcoming MacBook Pro.

The fact of the 13'' is the only to still avaliable in many online stores is because this is the best selling MBP (and, in theory, this stores must have a larger stock of that model).

ALL the MBP family will be refreshed tomorrow. Believe it.

Because people are going to stop paying 1199 for year old equipment that even some netbooks have, even if it is wrapped up in a 13" aluminum unibody package. If they want to keep it selling, they'll upgrade.

Apple probably still has stock at the warehouse or where ever the laptops ship from when they are ordered from the website. These will probably go to the refurb site if an update does occur. It's just the actual in store stock at Apple stores and other retailers that are running out because they've been told no more laptops can be ordered.

This, in most cases means the new products are available to order online straight away. They don't usually hit stores until the following day, though some Apple Stores may carry the product straight away. Resellers probably offer the item online straight away too, but won't have them physically in stores/in stock for up to a week or two later.
