MacBook Pro Updates Imminent (Really), Part Numbers Appear

I just picked up a stock current(minus the impending update) 2.53Ghz 13" MBP (lightly used) for $850CAD. That's close to half of brand new... as much as I would have loved the updated version it was just too good of a deal to pass up!

Same here. I've been waiting for the refresh for a couple of months but given the secrecy I'm not expecting any new MBPs. They could come tomorrow, they could come in a couple of months. I lost my faith and I believe they won't be reseased any time soon, MAYBE in fall or Christmas.

This points to Wednesday though? Needless to say, against Apple's tradition of releasing products on Tuesdays.

We should know in around 11 hours from now, if Apple (<3) will truly release the updated line on Tuesday or not.
Allowing me to get my first Macbook Pro. :-D

I'm also worried about Sandy Bridge released next year.
Don't want to spend a premium price on something that will get v. outdated in a couple of months (5-6).

I had been reading this thread at work, and it piqued my interest. On the way home I stopped by Best Buy. They had removed all but one of the macBook Pros from thier display and left empty spots on the table. I also stopped at the Apple store, and chatted up a salesman about getting a MacBook Pro. he asked when I was getting one, and I told him late may, which is true. He seemed relieved and mentioned that there were probably updates soon. "Like tommorrow?" I said. His response? "You didin't hear it from me."

Yes. Actually received the same response here in the Netherlands. My friend was looking to buy a MacBook Pro and the store manager just said, "umm, you might want to think about it for a day or two. I think we might be able to get you a discount on this current mac in the next day or two". She asked if an updated MacBook Pro was coming out in the next few days and he just nodded slightly. So, who knows for sure but...

So, this is not to say that updates are for sure tomorrow, but there are more than a few signs pointing in that direction.
 
This is a little off topic, but since we already are (like always:)), has anyone heard anything about the sprint HTC EVO?
 
On another note, This will be my first MBP and I've been waiting for god knows how long so I will be so excited if it comes this week. It seems like the perfect time- although all the other tuesdays did too.:)

Can you remember what model is the one not removed from their displays?

I hope he's right. although i'm not getting my hopes up, its been months and i've heard stuff like this all of the time.

The 13 inch was still on the shelf. There was also a 17 inch still on display in another part of the store. It looked like 2 15 inchers and a 17 had been removed from the main display.

Even though it seems like a lot of these rumors don't point towards a 13" update, I REALLY hope they update it too.
