suwandy said:I don't think they would offer that much of a discount even if you're a member. I am sure they are pretty much the same, and if you're thinking of adding the discount on top of your education one, I've never heard of any kind of discount offer used that way.![]()
The discount is almost double that of the education discount.
Normal Store: $1,999 - $2,499 - $2,799
Education Store: $1,799 - $2,299 - $2,599
ADC Store: $1,599 - $1,999 - $2,239
add $100 to the ADC prices for the cost of a student membership. And be sure to buy your AppleCare *after* purchase, from the Education store, to avoid paying the extra $100 for that.
The developer discount is aimed at attracting new developers to the platform, as well as providing incentive for buying test rigs.
You can find the ADC store by heading to their disclaimer site, and then clicking on "ADC Hardware Purchase Program Store". (for some reason it doesn't seem to accept direct links)
Just remember that this is a one time purchase, period. You cannot get the discount again. (unless you pay the $500 or $1000 for the upper tier memberships)
And finally, I'm not 100% sure that brand new machines will get the discount, but I would assume so. (for devs to buy test rigs asap)
