Congrats to all those getting shipment notices. Anyone with confirmed shipping for next week or later, order a 16" M1 Max with 64GB memory and 4 or 8 TB storage. I think those models (including mine) will arrive in second or third week after release date.

2ND UPDATE ABOUT UPS "ORIGIN SCAN"

Currently, it is 01:37AM in Mainland, China. It’s also a Saturday, October 23, 2021. The speculation I made yesterday may turn in to a reality today. Be on the look out and keep checking UPS. Please report any incoming scans here. Do not lose hope. I’m expecting everyone to have their scans all ready and good to go today. Today is the day, as we are expected to travel together over the weekend and share our quick trip. From China to USA.

Those of you that are in sitting in Shanghai, China. Sit in the lounge and wait for us, please. If you do see a departure scan please report it here. All is going to be well. Let’s go!!

That's it... Apple told me I'd have mine 10/26 but no scans for me. Lost all hope that it'll come on time

/s but also very excited and these threads are better than the week leading up to Christmas! Thank you @TheYayAreaLiving for always being on top of these!
Not to worry. Your 💻 will be home on Tuesday. Expect a scan later today. Good luck!!!

Both of mine departed from a facility in Shanghai but then got an arrived at facility scan 15 minutes later.
It was transferred from factory assembly plant to the UPS Hub... making it's way to Shanghai Airport. Next stop is to either Korea or Japan :)

Expect your "Departure Scan" status :)

Both of them say they’re shipping from
“AI
CO.,LTD-CA 7 POE RES
SHA, CN”

Is there somewhere specific I’d go to find that?
Thank you for the info! Decoded! 👀

This is where it's coming from Tech-Com (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd Manufacture. Read more information below :)

Tech-Com (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd. manufactures and markets computers and computer peripherals. The company is based in Shanghai, China. Tech-Com (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of Quanta Development Ltd.

Quanta is, and has been for many years, one of Apple's main producers. Your Mac is coming directly from an Apple manufacturing facility and cutting out a trip to an Apple "holding" plant, thereby getting it to you faster. One of my earlier MBPs came directly from Quanta, the same situation.

Company Information. I was able to find exactly where your Mac is coming from. Check out the address and the phone number 😈

No, all it tells you that it has been shipped from "AI" short for Apple Inc....
This year... Apple has decided to list the supplier or the facility where it is originated. My Apple Watch was from Lux-share assembly line. iPhone 13 came from assembly plant Foxconn. Specially in Henan, China
