That's my guess. I expect to get real tracking only after it's past customs. Good news is definitely on track for Tuesday! That'll let apples update servers recover from all the day one upgraders tomorrow too!

I don’t think it’s going to be that last minute as UPS does have to ship them overnight. I have a feeling either tonight or tomorrow morning the latest. UPS should Atleast give us 24 hours to track.
There won’t be any early deliveries but expect an import scan, following up with a destination scan stamp. You will receive it on Tuesday, October 26th.
What’s might happen is what’s happened in the past. When they actually do become available to track the whole tracking history will just show up assuming they did come from China.
Well, this week’s gonna be wild. Hoping that those of us launch date pre orders with first/second week of November estimates get deliveries this week 🤞🏽
The status of my shipment still lists as PTS in the Apple Store Order status, but in UPS My Choice I’ve been tracking the shipment for days and it’s presently in Louisville. Once scanned in Louisville, the Apple Store shipping status should update.
Anyone in the Nov 3-5 range see anything in UPS My Choice? I only see it's preparing to shop for the last few days.
what are the chances the base models will get assigned tracking few hours after the BTO clears customs through worldport? assuming they are on the same plane.
Ok, I’m a hopeless mess…🤣 Placed the order yesterday and said ”I don’t mind the wait since I have my Mac Mini to hold me over.” Yeah right. I just checked to see if my order has progressed from Processing to PTS. SHM.

I don’t think they were in the same plane. If they were… some sort of a tracking number would have shown up. There is a high chance they are coming from stateside and Apple has a set inventory assigned. Which will be overnight to us on Monday. If it was coming from China tracking number would have populated. For now they have not been shipped yet.
AKA they are in warehouses on the east or west coasts…just sitting there…

I know there are a lot of geeks (said nicely) on this thread about to get the 16. I asked this question elsewhere here but if you would forgive a sidetrack here.
144W for the charger will pop the circuit on most airplane seats with power. Does anyone have a goto power adapter you use on a plane? It needs to be around 75W to not cause issues and still might cause issues based on how they distributed the power across seats and rows. I am thinking of getting a 75W for longer flights and dealing with trickle charging. I know these devices have longer battery, but I always like to be charging when possible, in case of weather delays while on a plane without power, etc.
In a perfect world, multiple ports which I do know when in use will have my MBP charge even slower but that's the unfortunate things with Airplane power. It's so scattered based on age of airplane and seat type. It's super frustrating.

I can’t understand how some people with November dates are in PTS status, and others (like me) have October 26 delivery dates and are still processing. Just doesn’t make any sense to me…

Monday’s are always my WORST work motivated days… this will WRECK my workday for sure. (Also, I work in an office all by myself so that doesn’t help my wandering brain). I realize that even if I could afford the iPhone upgrade this year, my upgrade eligibility through Verizon would have prevented me from pre-ordering the phone on time. I’m not eligible to upgrade until today!
As long as I don’t upgrade to the 13 at some point this year I should be here for the 14.

The other crazy thing is everyone was throwing around Tuesday for the actual event date when it ends up being the actual launch day. That one caught everyone by surprise

I'm in the same situation, i went from the 2015 MBP which everyone loved, to the 2019 16 inch, although I dont have any real complaints with this model, they are going back to that 2015 style with this new iteration, add the display improvements, ports, and new processors its just to hard to pass up. These will be 5-7 year machines for sure. That apple trade in program is pretty sweet too, so it makes it easy.
Sitting at the warehouse with a shipping label assigned. One it hits UPS’s system we will all be granted with a tracking number. I suspect within next 48 hours.
Your prediction came along right! It has been sitting at the warehouse. Only the few lucky ones got shipment label made from China.

I think that some are saying that PTS status doesn't mean anything but it did with my iPhone 13 mini shipment. It shipped and I could see it in China, then Alaska, and then KY I think. I don't see how it clears customs (usually 1-2 days), then takes a day to get to my state, and then half a day to deliver it.
