What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

I spoke to an Apple supervisor about another issue on Friday and asked him if the stock orders were in the US already. He said they are probably already here, that Apple was busy assigning carriers, and that they use both UPS and Fed-Ex.

I ordered the 16" M1 Pro 1TB base MBP and am still PTS. Haven't received any tracking info and UPS My Choice shows nothing yet.

i think apples updates cant keep up with the actual tracking info, i bet a bunch of people are going to get orders this week unexpected. I can't imagine what this looks like on their end.

With the amount of laptops being returned after 1 use has anyone realised the only way to guarantee getting a new one is to buy on launch day?

For anyone in Australia:

I was able to to see a pending shipment on the Aus Post website when I entered by order number without the last digit and no "W" at the start.

States that StarTrack is being used for delivery which I know is what Apple has used for my online iPhone orders in the past.

Unfortunately Apple still states that delivery will be on 28/10 but still hoping that's just a conservative estimate and it magically arrives at my door tomorrow :)

I was all excited and then some to log into FedEx and see a package in LA heading to me October 26th.

I then clicked more information to find out its just the Halloween Candy I plan to politely toss to the treaters. 😂

Just realizing now as we make this FedEx realization, Apple actually tends to use Fedex for their stateside deliveries. Since these aren't coming straight from China (for base models at least, it appears), it makes sense that FedEx may be involved.
I think Fedex or UPS is location based. I've noticed mixed carriers, but in most cases for me it was UPS.

I ordered a 16” base space gray a few mins after the event and have a express delivery of 10/26 and PTS. And also have a pending charge for the tax on the Apple Card but that’s it. Nothing is in UPS My choice either and nothing shows up trying the reference number.

I live about an hour from Louisville so I guess I can go hang out at UPS in the morning lol.

Thanks for the fun and informative thread!
Same here exactly except I don’t live near Louisville. I’m sure they will ship and be on time!

FWIW, I’ve only received my Apple deliveries via UPS, and this goes back many many years; including iPads, computers, and phones. I live in WA state. This is for many devices, as I tend to buy equipment then hand them down to my kids or grandkids. In the last 4 years, this includes an iMac, 3 iPads, MBAM1, 2 iPhones, 2 AW, 2 ATV and this MPBM1Max presently being delivered. So Apple definitely also delivers via UPS. Maybe it’s location related.

Now how in the world am I going to get to bed at a reasonable time. This just showed up in my pending via the Advanced Shipment Tracking. I have not gotten an email yet.

Just checked my email and got a notification from FedEx.

Everyone was convinced UPS was the only one that would be shipping internationally. COVID has changed all the rules folks.

That's quite the discovery and my tracking is also pending, hopefully something shows up with tracking tonight but knowing Auspost it'll probably arrive Thursday.

Edit: This might be a false flag as I've just went and tested some of my previous orders and all came up as pending even though they shipped with different couriers and were delivered a while ago.
