Ok then! I am not a pro at this but I think both with tracking numbers are BTO. It's a good time to tell everyone I am a wee bit DyslexicMine was a BTO.
They sell returned laptops as new? I thought they only sold them as refurbished. With the amount of laptops being returned has anyone realised the only way to guarantee having a new one is to buy on launch day?
I mean what do they do with one that’s been used for 3 days? Refund the money in full to the customer then sell it at a loss? They sell returned laptops as new? I thought they only sold them as refurbished.
Ahhh such a close call. I felt that. You probably got goose bumps!I was all excited and then some to log into FedEx and see a package in LA heading to me October 26th.
I then clicked more information to find out its just the Halloween Candy I plan to politely toss to the treaters. 😂

I think Fedex or UPS is location based. I've noticed mixed carriers, but in most cases for me it was UPS.Just realizing now as we make this FedEx realization, Apple actually tends to use Fedex for their stateside deliveries. Since these aren't coming straight from China (for base models at least, it appears), it makes sense that FedEx may be involved.
Same here exactly except I don’t live near Louisville. I’m sure they will ship and be on time!I ordered a 16” base space gray a few mins after the event and have a express delivery of 10/26 and PTS. And also have a pending charge for the tax on the Apple Card but that’s it. Nothing is in UPS My choice either and nothing shows up trying the reference number.
I live about an hour from Louisville so I guess I can go hang out at UPS in the morning lol.
Thanks for the fun and informative thread!
FWIW, I’ve only received my Apple deliveries via UPS, and this goes back many many years; including iPads, computers, and phones. I live in WA state. This is for many devices, as I tend to buy equipment then hand them down to my kids or grandkids. In the last 4 years, this includes an iMac, 3 iPads, MBAM1, 2 iPhones, 2 AW, 2 ATV and this MPBM1Max presently being delivered. So Apple definitely also delivers via UPS. Maybe it’s location related.Just realizing now as we make this FedEx realization, Apple actually tends to use Fedex for their stateside deliveries. Awesome that worked for me thanks! For anyone in Australia:
I was able to to see a pending shipment on the Aus Post website when I entered by order number without the last digit and no "W" at the start.
States that StarTrack is being used for delivery which I know is what Apple has used for my online iPhone orders in the past.
Unfortunately Apple still states that delivery will be on 28/10 but still hoping that's just a conservative estimate and it magically arrives at my door tomorrow![]()
Just checked my email and got a notification from FedEx.Now how in the world am I going to get to bed at a reasonable time. This just showed up in my pending via the Advanced Shipment Tracking. I have not gotten an email yet.

Are you BTO? I am trying to see if there is a theme here. When was your original ship date?Just checked my email and got a notification from FedEx.
Everyone was convinced UPS was the only one that would be shipping internationally. COVID has changed all the rules folks.
Dudette but who cares now a days!Woah! Dude congratulations!!!!
That's quite the discovery and my tracking is also pending, hopefully something shows up with tracking tonight but knowing Auspost it'll probably arrive Thursday. For anyone in Australia:
