This is possible. The common models (base, most common configs) could possibly be bulk shipped with the Macs heading to the stores.. however, for those that are being shipped directly home, they will be passing through SDF. The bulk stocks going to stores on the west coast could go PANC-KONT then up to the regional processing centers. For Elk Grove (I'm in Sacramento), UPS processes everything at their distribution center at KMHR (Mather Field), which is 2 miles south of me. I see their flights fly in all the time.

So it is possible that they could go from MHR to Elk Grove then out to the stores, or ONT to the Apple distro center in SoCal then out, but I doubt those models would go directly from those distro centers to be home delivered. That would break the chain of distribution as they would go from Apple to UPS to Apple back to UPS for delivery. It would be easier for Apple to let UPS complete the process, limiting their liability of anything going wrong in chain of custody or transfer of the product.

Interesting. In my years of Apple experience (aka mania), Elk Grove has been used for repairs/replacements. All new orders have come from Ontario/Fontana, up to Mather, to UPS. Also in Sac…hope you are staying dry…we have had an incredible deluge of rain.

My wife’s BTO 14” Nov 5-10 just showed up on UPS MyChoice! Nov 1 est delivery! My Nov 3-5 hasn’t showed up yet…

Perhaps some configurations are shipping ahead of schedule

I ordered the 14-inch MBP base config with the standard 67W charger and I can't locate my tracking number. It is not showing up on either FedEx Delivery Manager or UPS MyChoice.

I just got an alert from Fedex which looks like is coming from China that appears to be my Macbook Pro 16 M1 Max 32 Core GPU with 32GB RAM and 2 TB SSD BTO. Its slated to arrive Nov 3rd-5th but it’s looking like it may arrive earlier. We shall see but it’s looking like Apple is ahead of schedule perhaps on deliveries. Interesting as i thought they would be sending it via UPS, but i guess it all depends on what you order. looking forward to this new machine!

Hmm upon further investigation the fedex app has the same behavior with all 9s for the order #. It must be doing something in particular when you enter something that’s 10 characters long rather than 9 or 11. Oh well back to the drawing board… 🥲

That’s what UPS is stating. Apple app still says Oct 26th and preparing to ship. Also haven’t found anything for my AirPods yet which are also said to arrive Oct 26th and preparing to ship on the Apple app.

Shipping to the West Coast of Canada if that helps anyone.

I'm trying not to get too excited about the screen for this reason. I don't know how much I'm going to notice the issues many have reported with iPad Pro. The other day people were talking about how the new 16" has the same number of mini LEDs as the iPad Pro, does that mean some of the blooming issues will be exacerbated? Will images with complex, bright colorful shapes against a black background look strange because of the zones?

Just got my FedEx tracking. It’s in transit with no delivery date. Looks like my Nov 3-5 stock 14 with the 96w has been bumped to either 10-26 or 10-27.

Additional data points for shipping: my wife and I have identical 14” BTO (except color) ordered 15 mins apart after the keynote.

- My Nov 3-5 just showed up on FedEx with a pending delivery date
- My wife’s Nov 5-10 just showed up on UPS with a Nov 1 delivery date
- Both machines have Oct 25 11:22am local time origin scans despite different shipping carriers

No, sorry, I should have been more specific. I received the tracking info by refreshing the FedEx app. It wasn’t there an hour ago but when I refreshed it just a few minutes ago, the shipping information populated. Apple Store App still shows PFS.
