I'm loving the 16" model, I'm still getting use to this huge screen, since you have a MacBook Air, you won't notice much of a difference if you upgrade to the 14" model, I'd say 16" all the way.

Check them out in store first, the 16" model isn't for everyone, she's hugeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I don’t know. 16 seems overkill for me. I like portability.

However ….. the Apple Watch that I ordered sat and preparing to ship for a week, and the shipping time when it finally did ship was seven days. …
So maybe the quoted delivery time of November 10-17 is literal and I won’t get it early like I was hoping. :-(

For me, it would depend A) on will you travel a lot with it vs desktop mainly, and B) Usage (area/desktop space/workflow type)…both can be configured to the same specs with the right amount of money…but do you have a workspace or desk big enough to park a 16” machine? If you use a monitor and dock, then maybe screen size won’t matter anyways. Bigger size means 25% more battery capacity and I also saw that the M1 Max chip on the 14” gets a higher wattage charger than the M1Pro chipped - but still less wattage than a 16” charger. The 16” weighs 1.2 lbs more than the 14” - so if you travel or carry it for long periods, will that weight bother you? Again in my situation, lots of MS Excel and video timeline editing, so bigger screen is better for me. They have the same amount of ports, where in the past, you had to go bigger to get more ports.

I started w/ 15” Power books, then down to 13” MBPs and now on a 16” Intel MBP and that screen is awesome. But when I had 13” ones, I was deployed on ships or flying and a 13” was way easier to travel with and work on while traveling.

Tough choices for sure.

So what do you suggest for just YouTube and Netflix?? 😂😂😂

Thank you! I'm coming from an ancient laptop (13" MBP 2015) and I waited 5 long years for a fitting MacBook. First, these terrible keyboards and too many compromises, and when they revised the keyboards Apple Silicon was around the corner, but I think the wait was well worth it!

I got this for my 16” beastie - Chocolate brown leather with a super plush liner in side. Can charge it while it’s in the sleeve, too. The leather took a bit to stretch with the the laptop inserted but I’ve been super happy with the quality and protection…

No worries. This is why I don't go to sleep. So, I don't miss out on the posts. One of the reasons.

Consider checking them out. I have already ordered myself a very nice MacBook Pro sleeve. They are authentic, handcrafted and it's premium. A little expensive but it's worth it. They are also expected to ship by mid-november.

For those planning to buy online in a couple hours, I’ve checked the apple store online in London and Paris, it’s 7 am and 8am there right now, they have full stock of all base models 14 and 16 inch available for pickups that would mean the US for sure got the same if not more allotment of MacBooks. Hope everyone getting up in a couple hours on the east coast gets one including myself 😄

I just received this stupid Low Battery Indicator. Stupid, crappy Macbook Pro. Come on. You gotta be kidding me. Can't even last one full hour. This Machine is also burning HOT, HOT! SMH!

I got 1.5 hours out from 100% to 0%, LOL!

Tell me what kinda Usage is that on a 100% Battery. SMH! While typing all this. Now, I'm down to 7%.

Depends on the lighting… the grey cloth is compared against the white instructions so it must be an off greyish white?
