Maybe so it won’t show dirt as much as it’s used. A trick used on auto detailing cloths as well. Looks like the lighting in the Apple Store pictures (vs real life) is the same they used for the Apple Watch bands.

Same here ? they're so spoilt these days, only reason his getting it for her, he got ripped by some scumbag at a retail store, they sold them a $400 dell laptop, the trackpad feels like it's going to break every time you use it, doesn't register your taps every time ?‍♂️ software is terrible, and the list goes on.

If only they called me before buying it. ?‍♂️

Apple, you tease! Send me an AppleCare document stating that my AppleCare ends on Oct 25th 2024. Would make one assume my BTO was coming today 26th. But nope! My updated delivery schedule has now pegged it at Friday 29th. No dramas, but what is going on with AC??? Nickel and Dime-ing me over a few days of coverage!!!!

Part of what I like about upgrading every 5-6 years is that it's crazily apparent how much of an improvement these devices actually are. Places where I would expect animations and loading on my old device are just instant now and I haven't heard the fans going at all yet where my old device turned into a jet engine during startup. This device is definitely pricey but I believe it'll definitely last until any upgrade and looks absolutely amazing doing so.

My 2019 16" Pro also sounds like a jet engine. It's not just the age. Intel sucks.

Welp, that confirms it then. There is indeed a problem with the panels being old tech and laggy. I was worried I would notice and now I'm pretty sure I will. The bloke from anandtech tweeted about this issue.

What's wrong with the panels? Good panels shouldn't have this problem, that's what's wrong. So presumably Apple saved a bit on cost and went with older/worse panel tech than they should have gone with.
