Do you think my computer will ship sometime next week so I can get the Nov. 18 to Nov. 26 since that is what the estimated delivery dates for me are

That’s 🧢🧢🧢🧢 @TheYayAreaLiving is not going to let you NOT upgrade.
She didn't make me purchase the cloth did she? 😁 This is the new LFC you're talking to now.
Using your iPhone as status symbol. So materialistic.

Sigh, calling me materialistic, again 🙄🤦‍♂️ lol, It's called brand recognition. 😎
Back on topic, so I brought my MBP to work today…
You have 3 of them, which one? lol. 🤔

No!!! 🤦‍♂️😂 It's most likely a software bug.

The stupid thing charges if it's turned on, can't be a faulty charger.
The charger is more than just a charging brick. There's circuitry within the charger that communicates with the laptop. It's a possibility that it's the 140W charger, or in the software. I haven't heard of this issue yet with the smaller chargers.

Hopefully it's the adapter if it ain't the software, can't be bothered returning my beast and starting all over again.

If apple think I'm returning the machine if it ends being just the adapter, they're tripping.

I had to go through 3 people with apple support, before they agreed to replace my watch band, they wanted me to send the watch back and wait 5 weeks for a new watch. ??‍♂️ lol

She's allowed to be happy, yet I'm not allowed to buy a apple sleeve for my MacBook Pro. 🤔

Why? lol 🙄
Because she deserves it 😆😆😆

That reminds me that I also need to buy a new sleeve. The I've been using for the MBA doesn't fit.

The one that can be used as table.

Now, nothing, already traded in my old macbook pro..not sure when it will ship just wanted a general idea since Ive never ordered from apple before
I did the same. Took my old MBP in for the sacrificial $300 AppleCare "fix everything" service a few months ago, was kind of ready for this event. Never even peeled the plastic off the touch bar. The person I sold it to had zilch to complain about, got $2,500 minus eBay fees. So my total outlay for the upgrade was less than $1k. But it was hell working on a Lenovo for those weeks... shudder...

lol, how about you make your mind up first on which one you're keeping before purchasing the sleeve, since you're buying. 😁 👇 thank you. 🙏

The BEAST!!! NICE!!! 👌 now that's how you flex at work, about time.

I received my 14 incher listed in my siggy yesterday. I'm thinking about ordering the 140W adapter to use instead of the 96W that came with the notebook. The Apple site says the 140W is compatible with my notebook. Wouldn't the 140W charge faster, including giving me the quick charge Apple advertised? For the record, the 96W does charge very acceptably. I just want to charge even faster.

That's AWESOME. Usually I would sell electronic items on craigslist, meet the person at the local mall and get cash, but with covid and all, didnt want to deal with the hassle..besides, checking on swappa would have made probably around 750 for the same laptop..but with shipping fees and paypal fees, I didnt end up losing much

Tip: If you are going to meet IRL, use Venmo/etc in person. It's just safer than getting robbed by some clown with nothing to lose who just watched the transaction happen from a few yards away.

I do the opposite, want the cells to load slowly. 65w supplies are my go-to, only occasionally regret it. Fast charging kills batteries faster. YMMV...

That sleeve is out of my budget. I can only afford knockoffs or cheap ones from Amazon.

I haven't really used it yet. I can't do any work on it besides email. But it does make a very nice table for my ThinkPad.

Per Apple's page, the 96w is the fast charger for the 14". Buying the 140w would be a waste.

You wouldn't want to get a charger with more power than Apple recommends.
