I think Face ID will be introduce with a 2nd gen of Mac Pro and Pro Max. They have to save some features so they can introduce it for the next year.

Was wondering whether they run out of binned m1 pro chips therefore it slows to a trickle.

I used my 2017, MacBook 16” and I used the Touch Bar. It was very satisfying. Plus, I can’t skip the YouTube commercials anymore. 😒
