For those of you who have the 16" and 14", could you point me to any comparisons to the battery life, speakers, etc.? I ask because some are trying to suggest that the MBA would be better suited for what I need, when that was what I went with last time, and found out that my Mac was underpowered and under requirements for the software I needed.
But if the $200 difference isn't worth having the portability, I'd like to know what else I'd be missing out on if I went with the 14".
Any pointers to any comparisons between the models?

This 14” beauty arrived today. I am just stunned at how perfect it feels. Typing is stellar and I never thought the Air keyboard could be better. This is! The screen…just wow! It fits perfectly on my lap and feels wonderful. If there are any negatives…it is very heavy…I was surprised at how much. And the edges are sharper than my Air and I have to position my hands differently so my wrists don’t hurt. Other than that…and the price…I am thrilled!

Congratulations!!! It’s good when you are pleased with your tech. I’m sure you’ll find even more to love about it as you explore what your beauty can do. I agree with you that it was an adjustment going from the MBA to the new form of the MBP. I think that you’ll get used to it very quickly.

I thought Apple stores only carried base model MacBooks in store. Anyone confirm this?
The one in my area say they carry one of each but sometimes don’t have them show in online inventory. I know because I bought a maxed out 13” MBP in 2016 at the Apple store in my area. Also there wasn’t a chip shortage then of course
