I thought Apple stores only carried base model MacBooks in store. Anyone confirm this?
They have some other configs besides the base models. With that said I got the base M1 Max for the 16“. I know the 16” also has a 10/32, 64GB, 4TB config. Haven’t seen a 16” in stock since launch in my area.

I delete my history often 👀 joking lol

I’ll look into one day, a lot of people do speak highly of it.

Brave browser is apparently good as well, blocks all the ads.
I think Mozilla blocks it too. I’ve been using it for years. Never had any complaints. Have you charged your Mac?

My order was shipped by some weird shipping company who will not know how to get in my gate . Never had this issue with Apple before . Was it the same for everyone ? If so what did you do to make sure you didn’t miss your delivery ?
Apple only used UPS or FedEx? What do you mean weird shipping company?

Can you download it off the Mac App Store?

it’s shutdown at the moment with 30% left, I’ll use it again tonight, then I’ll charge it.

Looking at 14 hours usage. 👌
Not sure but go to this link and download it directly :)

The new Firefox for Mac 🤔 sounds interesting.

I’ll look into it. 👊
Let me know. It’s also blazing fast and you can customize it the way you want too. Also, if you notice the memory it doesn’t take that much. They have done a brilliant job honestly!

Also heard good things about brave.

No pictures of the new setup today because I was lazy about setting it up/wanted to watch movies on the fancy display but I will say that Kenosha likes the box that the laptop came in.

Any chimes or on/off/on/off on the charge? Charging glitch free? Did you shutdown your Beastie first?
I normally shut it down first, close the lid, then charge it, since finding this stupid bug 🤦‍♂️ the mac has to be on when inserting the charger, then I can shut it down and close the lid.

If I don’t do this, this happens. 👇😩😩😩

Happens at 80% from what I’m hearing.

Understood and sorry to see/hear there’s an issue…I was trying to see if @TheYayAreaLiving was able to test her Beastie on charging - and I see the doesn’t have the issue on her 16. Hope it can get fixed with a software update!

A while back, I think my 2013 had a short stretch were the magsafe would be plugged in, it would charge, the turn off, and back on - with the dings, too. This article kind of covers that glitch - Have you tried resetting the SMC? Don’t know if resetting NVRAM or PRAM as next steps may change things.

Think some people have already tired this, didn’t fix the issue, worse case scenario, software fix or faulty adapter/cable ?

Thanks for the tip.
