Hey all! Been a lurker / information gatherer for years but just now finally posting. Question for all of you who have either received their order or have theirs shipped... how long past the front end of your delivery window did you see things start to move past 'processing' ? Mine is below but hasn't budged since I ordered it back on the 18th.

The skin arrived yesterday (top and bottom)...... tracking the sleeve now, and it's arriving on Friday.

Wow! Looks very rugged! Durable and extreme material, perhaps. It looks amazing. Congrats buddy! Can’t wait till your Sleeve arrives :)

Ahh, hopefully Apple is planning on sending you your Mac via overnight delivery.

Yeah there's probably 5 people on here with a very similar UPS tracking, you're luckier than me and some others though because your package made it to ZhengZhou. We're all mainly stuck still in Shanghai for the last 6 days+. It may have to do with Chinese export customs holding it, it may have to do with UPS trying to group the orders together to reduce cost, there are a few different theories, but nothing is for certain...

Apple support/UPS have been useless with providing more info, they both essentially are saying all they have for info is the same info we have (tracking)

Funnily enough, it's better that it is in Shanghai than Zhengzhou! ZPSD is actually on the coast, while Zhengzhou is 600 miles further inland! it's actually going backwards in distance.

BL.

ATTENTION!!

Always wanted to do that ?

I went to the Apple store yesterday and bought 2 HomePod Minis (Space Gray, of course) to go with my MBP14. I had previously ordered these, but cancelled them due to some people saying there would be an audio
delay when watching video. I often use air-play to stream movies to my LG TV through the :apple:tv box, and my LG connects to my Sonos audio system using optical. I've never experienced a delay, so I couldn't figure out why there would be a delay with the HomePod Minis.

I installed the Minis as a stereo pair yesterday, and I have streamed movies off Youtube, Netflix, :apple:tv+ and other sources as a test, and the audio has been in good sync with the video. If there were any sync issues in the past, they appear to have been resolved as it's working on my setup. I'm running the latest Monterey beta, and the latest HomePod mini update. The sound is very nice. Good purchase!

Really?!??!? Hmm....

There have been huge audio delays when playing Youtube to the HomePod Minis when paired as a stereo pair in the past...this the 2nd experience I read where the new HomePod minis don't have the annoying audio delay issue...

Should I snag a pair and test it out for myself? I have already spent $2k+ on the new MacBook Pro and AirPod Gen 3...

It's a little odd setting them up. Once you power them up, a setup screen pops up on your device and they install in your HOME app as a device, automatically configured. I installed the first one, then during the second one it asked if I wanted it as a stereo pair. Which I did.

After that process, then I went to the control panel and selected the HomePod Minis as my airplay device under Sound. Works great! One time I did an extended pause (for an hour) and the laptop went to sleep, and when I restarted the video there was a delay, so I just stopped the video, reopened the app, resumed the video and all was well again. No other issues except that one time.

Thanks for the detailed response.

You impressed sound wise?

How’s the bass?

I ordered from SopiGuard.com

Textured 3M charred dragon black. It's a nice heavy grade of vinyl.
Ohhhh, I’m in trouble now. 🥺 Ordered the brown and black leather from their Special Textured Series, although I probably will not use the skins for the palm rest—you made a good point. Oh well, at least I’ll have options on hand for the future when I bored. 😁

I seriously have to leave this thread… now I want to buy the minis as well since I can pair with my HomePods.

@LFC2020 didn’t you want to get the blue pair? You can run a 2nd test to balance @SloRide findings. 😁

The bass is decent for the size of speaker, and the sound is much more full and higher volume than the laptop speakers.... but you'd expect that due the size of the drivers. I have a few other speakers which are better, but for the price, size and portability they are good. What you'd expect from :apple:

They're very forgiving when you install them. I lifted them up and repositioned them at least 6 times to get them just right.

OK, <30 minutes ago, I posted that my MBP16.2 M1Max 64GB and 4TB was into the Nov 10 - Nov 17 window and not gonna be the 10th or 11th.

10 minutes after this post, my iPhone popped with a text stating my Apple Card was charged for half the order but an email and text notice say I need to update my payment methods.

I had 2 Apple gift cards on the order to pay for the other half. (they were gift cards for an MBP trade-in)

Went through 2 Apple call agents to finally get my order paid for. Neither knew why an additional $2.99 needed to be paid, or why this tiny amount held up my $5K plus order.
Anyhow, after that drama. I got to this on the Apple.com orders page.

Hopefully, now that it's paid for, they will ship my 16.2 inch Pro Display XDR with computing options.
