Maybe a little, still not for me though. 😁

I’m just giving you the positives so you don’t say I’m being bias again.

Don’t like curved displays.

Go with the white Pro, since it shows less smudges on the back.

You buying one?
I would but I don’t have the budget for it. Can’t justify a new burner phone right now lol.

But let’s be real. You’d buy the phone no question if it were made by Apple

Now that my package is in Kentucky, is there any way to find out which flight it'll leave on next (Kentucky to Socal)?

Just wait for the iPhone 14. Next year is a mega upgrade cycle and Apple engineers shift their focus from working on iPhone 13 to 14 in 2021. So, they will have plenty of time.

Are you going to use your 💻 tonight? Also, any news on picking up the cloth tomorrow? Road trip?

None. Cheating on them with iPad tonight lol. I’m sad the other thread got shut down 😞
Think the other thread you cited Polishing Cloths at University Village. So I looked. But they wouldn't let me select 4. Only got 2. I'm enroute and will pick it up tomorrow morning.

So that gives me two as stocking stuffers and I may finagle one for myself. Have to see how charming I can be on site.

Check your next departure scan out of KSDF and match the flight to where you are.

Do you see an import scan kick in? So cal what part? Los Angeles, Ontario, SD?

Possible options: KSAN, KONT for SoCal, then will be driven. If NorCal, the flight will go to KOAK or KMHR, then driven. But it definitely will depend on where in SoCal. If it's above the basin, that could even put Vegas into play.

BL.

I agree! My guess is it will be either Ontario or LAX. But it all depends where @srhdt resides.

Fair enough. I’ll give you 2 weeks before you drop a photo out of nowhere on us.

I haven’t forgotten one mac is going back, hello 💰 lol

Honestly, of course I would.

Their hardware and software suits me best.

I feel more comfortable using iOS.

Love Face ID,

Apple Watch + iPhone is another big one.

Airdrop

Handoff

Proper full backups on my Mac

Power, efficiency and longevity is a huge one as well.

Got 5 apple stores around me which offer great customer support if needed.

IMO iOS is more polished than android as well.

See I’m not bias ☝️

Aren’t these valid reasons?

Typing on the beautiful 14” right now!

I completely spaced about the cloth and I think @Whistler Mac already cleared out inventory lol

I didn’t budget for one mac to begin with

How did you remember all that, lol? You copy pasted huh?

Because you know I'm right lol.

Not about being first, about perfecting it, then releasing it. 🙃

Why is the 16" model not in use? 🤔
I’m telling you she’s settle with that 14” MacBook Pro. She’s not feeling the 16”. 14” is more portable for her.

Took me a while actually 🥵 lol.

They changed the game first, they're still changing the game, they still can't be caught. facts, not bias. 👇

Dang! That’s such a beautiful video. You can tell how excited Steve job and Jonny I’ve is. Look at him with a flip phone 😂 this is when the whole history changed!

Not going to lie! The BlackBerry was on its prime time too. That classic QWERTY KEYBOARD is very sexy and looks so modern. It reminds me of the MacBook Pro.

Never! My brain just cant process that many words at the moment lol

What if I told you I returned it?

Then where is my 120hz in Safari?

But that screen and battery life though…

Please tell me you guys dont have a bet going on which one I’m going to keep lol

Hey all,

Long time lurker checking in from Japan.

Got a 10 Core M1 Max 24 Core GPU 32GB ram and 1TB hdd on order with a 4th to 11th December arrival date.

Upgrading from a top line stock model 2018 MBP (8GB ram / 512GB SD) which now has Applecare expired (didn't realise you could extend applecare till recently but have been witing for 2nd gen Apple silicon)

Heres my user profile
- I'm a coder by trade and run docker / Parallels
- I like to run games when I do have time.
- Watching videos
- I DONT do video editing / playing around with 100GB video files.
- I've struggled a bit with 512GB space from time to time - i have lots of apps / music but don't store tons of raw videos so thought 1TB should be more than enough when I have multiple NAS's

Just wanted to ask if people thought my choice of mchine sounded right ?

My reasoning is as below:
- 32GB should be more than enough to run Docker / Paralles - I have 32B in my desk 2018 Mac Mini and even with a 2GB virtual box + 2 IDE's + memory hungry firefox open I still have 3.7GB of ram free going 64GB for what I do just seemed overkill.
- I don't deal with large video files so thought on the basis that I'm just about managing on 512B that 1TB should do me plus when Transcend release a SSD card for the 14inch it will be cheaper than apples internal storage costs.
- I wanted M1Max just because I wanted the best CPU but as they're not anything bar benchmarking apps that can really push the GPU's right now thought I wouldn't really see the benefit of the extra GPU cores
- Well obviously price too :
a) A 1TB to 2TB SSD upgrade was $385USD (44,000 yen) (I can probably get an SSD card reader storage for much cheaper. Going from 1TB to 4TB would add nearly $1000 to the price (110,000)
b) Maxing out the memory didn't seem worth it when my use case suggests I won't push it THAT hard - again $385 to max out.
c) Obviously not forgetting that with apple care included I'm already spending like $3500 USD and adding those extras would hve pushed it over $4,000...just seemed ugh...
