I havent opened the box yet, its officially in quarantine LOL its not my protocol its my mothers so wont open the box for a few days..its just your standard cardboard box with a shipping label on it(The "This contains batteries" message on the box) and a lil tab on the top to open it up..trust me I want to open it up but this is exactly why I waited to order til they offered extended holiday returns, so that it can not be touched for a few days, then opened and see if its Ok..I assume as long as the macbook is totally sealed than its fine, heck I'll even call to verify that the serial number is brand new, not used or anything Im totally paranoid when it comes to that lol
Off topic but I used the apple card for the majority of the order, yesterday it shows the pending amount on the card, and it says on the side of it the 3 percent..I want to use the 3 percent cash back on the actual amount to be deducted from the total..should I wait to do that til AFTER it goes from pending to actually on the card and of course til after I check to make sure that the macbook is absolutely perfect

Yay!!! Congratulations. Well, when you do open it, post pics. Also, the MBP box will be sealed inside of the shipping box. Also, Apple will never send a replacement/refurbed unit for a NEW order.

I don’t have an Apple Card so I can’t advise you on how the 3% can be applied. You can either call Goldman Sacs or Apple to find out what your options are. I use AMEX for all of my Apple purchases.

Yeah that is what I will do cause I want to use the 3 percent on the order itself to take off from the final price :) but will do that once I actually open up the box and make sure the macbook is 100 percent sealed. Deliver-It told me that the package originated from Rialto, CA I think thats some sort of apple warehouse.

The fact that Apple is struggling to deliver computers now, the M2/M2 Max would be even worse. If Apple does indeed have a March event, I expect June as the delivery dates.

Have you watched any bit of news of late? Chip shortage, shipping delays, labor shortage. Be patient

This. Plus, this is the price to pay for being an early adopter. Effectively, for those of us who are waiting for the reviews and overall experience, you're our guinea pig. Additionally, we're waiting for stock to be built (read: buffering) so that our wait time is shorter.

Sometimes, fresh, fast, and first isn't the best position to be in, as frustrations like the above kick in.

Anyone else here that ordered 64GB on October 23? Mine is still in 'processing' and delivery scheduled between 9th and 16th of December.
 
I ordered mine along with all of my staff (IT Director at school)on October 19th. All of the staff computers have arrived except mine which is now saying it is delayed till December 31st. Hoping it comes earlier.

I looked at the label on the box just to make sure it was mine and the label says:

Shipping manager..13053 san bernardino ave suite 100 fontana CA so I guess that is where the apple products come from
 
My 14" is stuck in Shanghai (fedex shipping). How long before I should expect it to move from there?

I am beginning to believe that this is less of a general chip shortage and more of a general yield issue. It appears that 16 M1 Max 32 core GPU 32 GB machines are shipping close to schedule. 16 M1 Max 32 Core 64 GB machines—not so much.

I am also beginning to believe that if you did not purchase from stock one of the 16 M1 Max 32 core 64 GB 4 TB when first launched then there is simply no supply anywhere.

I think hard to tell. Mine shipped out about a week ago and I believe it was about a day. Arriving in Memphis, it's now in Clearance delay - import, since I believe Tuesday. Others skipped that step; for me who knows.

That's the entire point. Those that were stock, had stock delivered to Apple's distro centers, if not directly to stores so they would have stock on hand. More than that, even those that are close to stock may even be at those distro centers. However, the more unique the build, the more chance of BTO, which means it has to be built from scratch. Anything in the 32 to 36GB range for memory is more than likely a full BTO, so there won't be supply anywhere.

Mine was 0 day delay in Shanghai, and then 8 day delay in Memphis. Was an issue on the 64Gb according to apple, but who the f knows for sure

But one can not be even get as stock a 16 M1 Max 32 Core GPU 64 GB 4 TB which was supposed to be a stock item. I have looked at a number of markets throughout the United States. There are none to be found. That is why I believe this is more of a yield issue on this SKU.

I think it's more those large company who made bulk order for the max-out configuration.

Same here. Max 16” with 32 Core GPU Space Gray. Hoping it’ll be on time since I am flying home to the US to pick it up.

Edit: same scheduled delivery date range, and I ordered around the same time.

I ordered Max 16" with 32 core GPU Space Gray on October 25. Date range is December 09 -16. Still processing. No movement. I anticipate seeing the date slip to at least January.
