Same here. been on the same step as yours since 1/23. But I ordered mine a whole month later. Crazy that yours has taken so long!
Yeah Apple made a mistake but now it's shipped. But it looks like UPS isn't moving it. ?

It seems like there is a bit longer delay shipping out of Shanghai this week. I hope my timeline helps manage your expectations. Good luck!

EDIT: Anyone in Australia or New Zealand who has received their BTO MBP, can you tell me when you saw the charge / update on order / and then received the unit?

Anyone in Southern Hemisphere who has had movement or received able to reply here with info as follows;
Date Ordered
Config
Payment taken
Delivery date expected / received

Just curious if my order that is expected to arrive by Feb 15th (ish) is gonna be delayed, as no charges yet...

I ordered slightly earlier a 1TB 14" on 1/6 with a 2/2 - 2/9 delivery window, but is still processing. Was waiting for education discount which I kind of regret a bit because my current MacBook Pro 2011 is having charging issues and I need it for work/other. I'm in NZ though, not sure if different to USA/other countries.
For anyone in NZ, I got my new 14" MBP today (2/2) so exactly the beginning of the delivery window. Absolutely love it! Coming from a 13" MBP early 2011 it is a substantive upgrade yet it feels actually pretty similar! (Magsafe charger, lots of ports, no touchbar, responsive keyboard...)

Well, just got a massive delivery bump. Was originally quoted March 9-22.

Date Ordered: Jan 14th
Config: 14inch M1 MAX / 32GPU / 32GB RAM / 1TB
Payment taken: Jan 30
Delivery date expected / received: Switched from March 9-22 to Feb 10

So a whole month earlier than originally quoted. I'll take it!

I wish mine could also get a similar bump, my first one (M1 Pro) arrived 8 days before the original estimate window; on 29th Jan I ordered same specs as you but w/24GPU, expected delivery 23 Mar - 5 Apr, let's see when they charge, I hope it's sooner than later.

Craziest thing is I could grab a 14" M1 Max 32 GPU / 64GB RAM / 2 TB SSD at a local Apple Store just now, I wish I needed that configuration, but certainly it would be overkill, not to mention 1200 EUR more ?

Missed the Tuesday delivery date they gave me, but its on its way and finally be here Friday, still earlier from what I thought when i'll get it.

Yeah, not sure if I got lucky or they've recently upped the production on 14 inch BTO configs. Hopefully you'll get bumped up too. Yea, Apple secretly stocks the monster config on occasion.

Okay, on January 27th I ordered base 14" MBP and then bumped it up to an M1 Max 10-core CPU, 24-core GPU and it has a delivery window of March 23 to April 5- basically eight weeks from the order date. Hopefully things don't take quite that long.

Flip... just as well I'm not in a hurry.

Plenty of time to read MacBook Pro rumours... go on holiday... change jobs... get married, divorced... then re-marry before it arrives!

Same config ordered on 29th January, expected delivery 23 Mar - 5 Apr, guess we really could do all of that while we wait, only certainty for me is I have to move while this happens, so let's see what finishes first ?

Thing is, I'm really in a hurry, I need the machine to work harder/faster/better/stronger, I tried to keep my MBP M1 Pro 16GPU/32 GB while this arrived but it was a no-go, they tried to extend the return period to make a machine-swap, but it wasn't authorized for that long time being different configurations; guess I was lucky enough to could return it on 29th January (received the 2nd of Dec) cause they extended 11 more days the christmas-period due to COVID closing stores. Better to be 2-months-off with a non so powerful machine than several years knowing I've specced short for the work I'll have to face.

All I ask is even I have to wait this period, please let the machine arrive with no issues/problems or big cosmetic flaws as the previous one which came pristine and fully functional.

I'm not even sure if I need that level... so, I've also ordered a M1 Pro 10/16/16 16gb & 1TB machine. I will then test it with Photoshop, Capture 1 Pro, Lightroom, FCPx & Motion 5 to see how it compares to my current setup.

If it can't handle it... it will go back. If it does with ease and better than my external eGPU then I'll keep it and cancel the the M1 Max.

So hard to tell coming from Intel system to the Apple Silicon!

I have found the Apple stores may get stock in faster than the lead time for online ordering. If you check the stock regularly, you can maybe find a model for pickup in store same day. But you need to watch it as they don't get a lot. Two weekends ago, I was able to get my 16 inch Space Gray base model in store ordering the night before. In fact, all stores in California looked to have that specific one available that weekend. One day later, they were all gone though.

Worse thing ever when your package is out for delivery and UPS gives you a real time map where the truck is at. And the truck passes by your house subdivision then circles around on the other side of the road then it goes up north. Ugh i should have sent the laptop to my work instead lol

*update* **********a on the railroad heading south.... wtf bro lol

I tested the 10CPU/16GPU/16GB one just out of curiosity for one week, it was available locally, just to see if the unified memory was able to handle my loads with not that much swapping, it was good, really good, but not that magical and I knew I was needing more cause a big chunk of swap was used in a constant way (I'm a software engineer and some of my highest workloads involve 20-24 GB due to VMs, dev environments, etc.)

Returned it and ordered same version but 32GB, took 3 weeks to arrive but it was worth the wait, machine has behaved like a champion ... but then, I had buyer's remorse not just to spend 200$ more for the Max, tried to justify myself with lots of things regarding battery life and temps, which to be honest, are not that dramatic after these months of reading for similar usages, and then, most important one, a week and a half ago, my company told me we'll be using some GPU intensive software within the next months. That's when I finally took the decission to exchange it again, lucky me my christmas-window was still open as mentioned.

Reason to go up this notch is explained here in case you're interested :)

Cheers for that.

Virtually all of my work would comfortably handled by the 10/16/16 16gb machine but occasionally, I do need Motion 5 and it is this that I have reservations over. The smaller laptop will arrive today so I will load it with motion 5 and the Nodes 2 plugin to see how it does in 4k.

The Mac mini I have, 2018 i7 32gb with an eGPU Vega 56 8gb runs it with ease. I've seen that FCPx runs on the lower model with ease and should also be good with photoshop for the files sizes I'm used to using... 2gb or so. So... hopefully later today I'll know. I'll update here just in case anyone else uses Motion 5 with the Nodes 2 plugin.
