MacBook Pros with Hybrid SLI, Extra Long Battery? MacBook Announcement?

Wait does this mean the base 15 inch macbook pro is actually cheaper than 1999 (because the 1999 price is for the "better" model) and if so does that mean the base 15 inch mbp wont be instock tomorrow?

I'm still a bit sceptical about the leaked pictures. The features of the Pro is however somewhat awesome! :D

Hybrid SLI!
HD Display!
Extra long battery life
Faster/Bigger disks
Better Wireless connectivity (wifi or is there something else?)
+ the CPU speedbump.

Just a couple of hours now. 10 to be exact. =)

show me *anywhere* on apple's website where a MBP is listed at $4000. you keep saying that, but you've obviously never been to the website and looked at the actual prices.

FW will be on the pro model. apple *is* updating all MB and MBPs.

now shut your mouth and go buy your compaq/dell or whatever PC you've been saying you're going to buy.

My outlandish prediction was that too. MacBook is now cheaper, sans FW and targeted as "NetBook minus the tiny screen, tiny HD" for everyone, and now the MacBook as we know it is a 13" MacBook Pro.

MacBook
MacBook Pro 13"
MacBook Pro 15"
MacBook Pro 17"
MacBook Air (wherever it fits).

It's a pitty, realistically it will be MBP updated and that's all there will be time for and we'll all be disappointed that glass trackpads or tablet or 10" iPhone or wireless power charging etc didn't happen.
 
Ok.... new mac books but nothing that "click" yet. I mean, a strange revision with another enclosure basically.

AGREED! we have a name for people like them... they're called TROLLS!
 
After my unhealthy obsession with all the rumour sites for the past few weeks, which has now reached fever pitch, there's now too much info finally coming out and "complete" pictures. I keep checking every few minutes and have gone slightly mad with some kinda crazy apple addiction. Therefore I'm now banning myself from now on, and waiting for the spoiler free QT stream. Then hopefully buying a MBP at the weekend (or maybe an old current MBP depending what Steve says and what the prices are!).

See you all afterwards when we can all bemoan no FW on MB, glossy screens on MBP, and other stuff we can say "FAIL" to! :eek:
