Maybe you need to start your own thread of OTHER OT crying, nobody is defending apple. The # of people sending high 5's to Albany NY is growing by the hour:D

Um.....what?

OTHER OT crying? Huh?

Relax, guy. Count to 5. Feel better?

Yes, I think some people are defending Apple.
The people who are saying: "dude, you type like a retard", instead of saying "why yes, the wrist rests should be comfortable on a laptop" are defending the design (designed by Apple in California).

I guess some people believe that Apple can do no wrong. "You'll buy it and you'll like it, Steve-damn it! Who do you think you are complaining about an Apple product? How dare you provide input on a forum!"

As I said before, it's not a big deal to me, but it's still a mistake in the design.

I acknowledge that the edge is sharp, but under normal conditions, it should not touch your wrist or arm. It is at extreme/nonsensical angles that you start to have issues.

True, but not everyone types like you do. It's not your way or the highway, some people are comfortable with their Macbooks sitting differently. You aren't the notebook coordinator.

for me it's not so much as issue when I'm typing as when I'm just resting my hand on the computer using the track pad.

My aunt who taught me how to type btw is laughing and I am watching people jump in front of a sniper and YOU think I need to relax and count to 5. :p

Sniper? Whatever show you're watching, what channel is it on?

Anyway.... you are clearly the most knowledgeable person in this forum. I think everyone needs to apologize to you for having a different opinion and realize that only your opinion matters. I mean, why even bother typing anything- I'm clearly not typing correctly. It's amazing that anything appears on the screen when I pound these keys.
You're that guy that does everything perfectly at all times, aren't you? I've heard about you. I guess when you drive your hands are always in the 10 and 2 position, you never, ever slouch, and when you shower you wash your face first and your Charlie Browns last.

Pobody's Nerfect.

Enjoy tea-time with your auntie. :D

I'm off to the gym.

A couple years back they said to stop using 10 and 2. People's hands were being propelled towards their faces very quickly by the airbags, causing considerable damage to their neck and face region. They now say to use 9 and 3.

Enjoy your stairmaster.

This is one of the most childish threads of comments I've had the misfortune to read. I think the original poster has a very good point.

This is not about typing correctly or incorrectly, it manifests itself most when you're just relaxing and surfing: using the trackpad to click around and double-finger scroll. Check for yourselves - the majority of people use their hand at 45º to the trackpad, and rest the heel of their hand and the base of their thumb across the edge of the laptop. On the MB, this edge is a sharp right angle and it makes your hand very uncomfortable, especially if you do this for more than short periods. I noticed after just a couple of minutes using a MB in the shop.

My iBook had rounded corners, and so does my MBP. After screen clarity, this edge issue was the number two reason I bought a MBP instead of a MB. I don't need the additional power, and could've done without the additional expense, but as I use my laptop for long periods every day, comfort was paramount.

Well, he is joking, and don't call him Shirley!

While we are at it though, can you get the clearance, Clarence?

Snicker

Of course Clarence can get the clearance. If President Bush had sent Clarence instead of troops in March of 2003 IMO we would not still be fighting the never ending battle against terrorism. ;)

No no no. Stairmaster was on Monday. The elliptical and squatting was today. You don't know my schedule at all. And you call yourself a stalker! :D

10 and 2, 9 and 3, whatever- I think you get the jist of my point.

I couldn't agree with you more. Stop making sense, it's forbidden here!

And I have to add, what's your vector, Victor?

hmmm, i haven't had this problem.... i also think it might be form (and my MBP corners aren't rounded...?)

lmao... seriously.... the only way your wrist would be on the edge is if you are typing with your laptop above your head.. i am on a mb right now and i'm trying to figure out how you can even manage to cut yourself lol It boggles my mind..

You would be surprised the stupid positions people use their computers in, and wonder why they injure themselves. I wish there was some way to tazer these people everytime they did something stupid. Obviously their parents didn't beat them enough when they were young.

yea i was using my dads macbook, and noticed these red lines on my hand and it scared me a bit, but realized it was just from the edges

so resting my hand on the edge of my keyboard while scrolling is stupid?

No need to tazer them... they are already having their wrists torn to shreds.

Got them resting there right now - no cutting at all. Come on billy bob, give us a photo montage of where you place your hands.

Lets attach a blade around the MacBook Black and sell it as part of Apple's new 'emo range' - type poetry and cut yourself at the same time.
