*sigh* some people just have no idea at all.......................

No, people whining about things. It would be like saying that due to you posting your comment on this forum, and my cat being hit by a car, I should blame you for my cat being hit by the car.

What about people who whine about people who whine about things? What is that like saying? :D

Happy Turducken day, my American friends.

Meh, not a fan of Turkey - over rated IMHO; a lot sold at my last work, but I could never understand the attraction of spending hours over a hot stove to feed a bunch of ungrateful slobs.

Again, how do you position your wrists? let me demonstrate - I am sitting at my coffee table, sitting on my sofa, and this is how I normally place my wrists - as you can see, no cutting, perfectly normal position:

Or are you stupid enough to have them positioned this way:

The problem is not with typing since you're hands are resting on the palm rest then. I think the problem comes when you try to use the trackpad...especially those who don't use an external mouse and rely heavily on the trackpad. After a while its only natural to want to rest your palm and then the sharp edges start taking their toll....even more so on those with larger hands

Ummm... Honestly, I think that the best way to type is the way most comfortable. I have been typing all this time with a posture that people say will get me Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I haven't yet, and I feel just fine, but I just use a few paper towels to prevent the sharp edges from slitting my wrists.

Shredded arms/wrists Macbook Pro Unibody

You can use the Macbook Pro unibody as a weapon. The edges will cut right
through you or at least send you screaming to the emergency room with chaffed wrists.

What is up with this design? Has Apple lost it's touch? This is the most ridiculous design I have ever seen in all my years of using computers.

Now, to the real question....is there any remedy? I hate to tape it. I don't see any products that will address the edge. And don't whine about proper hand position. The thing is sharp, uncomfortable and irritating. The lid is curved correctly. Maybe Apple will have a lawsuit when some slits their wrists on it.

Ok, for real...is there a solution?

I do agree, sharp edges are a design flaw period, although I've been screamed at when I've mentioned that here in the past, LOL.

I've read there is a skin or something that fits the MBP's an thus takes the sharpness from the edges.

Someone should email Apple about the issue and post the response here.

Sharp enough to slit your arms yes, even if you type properly and your arm brushes by the edge it can cut you.

Would of been the EASIEST PROBLEM EVER for Apple to solve too, just smooth the edges of when they're cutting it for the keyboard, wouldn't of cost them a penny more.

This thread is re-born, I hope it stays on top and grows and something comes of it.

Guys, I agree completely. They should have smoothed the edges like they did with the lid. Hopefully this is something that gets corrected in the not too distance future.

Yeah, they've got a guy coming around with sandpaper to every Macbook user's house to smooth the edges.

I can understand people having a problem with the sharp edge of the MBP but to return it in order to buy a ... Dell?!! Shenanigans.
