Interesting thing I noticed: The SuperDrive on this is higher up toward the palm rest, like the Powerbook series.

Whereas the MBPs have the SuperDrive lower in the palm rest.

So could be real deal or shopped PB? Who knows.

I'm on the PS-wagon.
I especially liked the explanation that the LED was behind the aluminium – that it was "hidden" normally, but otherwise would show through the aluminum

theres no indent in the casing for opening the magnetic latch (like the MacBooks).

fakey I say!

I might just not be this visible from that angle and lighting. Maybe the recession is on the Superdrive slot. Or maybe the recession is on the sides. Consider this thing is larger than the 13.3" laptops, maybe it's impractical to have a magnetic latch.

Apple does this on the wirless keyboards and iSights. The LED was hidden behind white plastic on Core Duo iMacs and G4 iBooks, too.

Actually, the IR sensor could be next to the superdrive slot like on Mac Minis.

if that is infact the new MBPs it would explain the iphone like screen rumor, however why would they use the old chipset? and the dodgey GPU?

Ya... the T-systems page doesn't pass the sniff test for me. There's no new CPU or even cpu speed, no blu ray - no new discernible features at all. There *does* in fact seem to be a display upgrade options: "Hochglanzdisplay" - another carryover from the existing line.

Why would Apple spend time and money to dress up a new MBP and not actually put anything inside it. And where are the *older* 2.5ghz and 2.6ghz models...

Note that the exterior dimensions are EXACTLY the same: 35.7 cm x 24.3 cm x 2.6 cm. That seems strange.

I think just posted a new picture in with old specs...

just my .0000002 spacebucks...

First time posting btw....

No, think again. Once broadcast goes digital, cable will follow. Most of the cable companies are already planing the set top box change.

Analog signal is going bye-bye. HD TV's and Blu-ray are going to be the X-mas gift of choice.

I don't have a set-top box; just a cable from Comcast going straight into my ancient TV. Works great, and Comcast says it will continue to do so.

I'm not going to waste a bunch of money and toss a working TV just because TV manufacturers are trying to scare me into buying a new one.

"You will need to take action before February 17, 2009 if you currently watch TV on an analog TV set that is not connected to cable, satellite or other pay TV service. If you own a television with a digital tuner or subscribe to a pay TV service, you will likely continue to receive TV programming as usual after the transition."

If you just have a cable coming in from outside connected to your TV you are receiving the analog signal that goes through that cable. It's acting like an antenna.
If you had a set-top box from Comcast then the signal would be digital.
So if you don't want to lose that signal contact comcast and get a box.

Analog cable is analog cable. You have to PAY to get those fancy pants digital cable boxes around here.

The only advantage I could find was a mediocre guide and all the free on demand crap they had.

Comcast isn't required to switch to digital: they're not broadcasting over the air. Their analog signal may remain. That's of course up to them, but if they drop the analog signal without providing digital boxes to customers they're going to have a lot of people angry with them.

That statement assumes the user is using a basic cable box. Which is given to every comcast customer.

I have never heard of comcast setting up an account without a box.

Don't know what to tell you. No box here. Maybe the Washington DC area is different. It is sort of a test-ground for innovations in communications.

I did the survey from the linked page, and they again assured me that I'm OK. They run ads on TV telling me I'm OK.

I'm inclined to believe the source over a BB post... ;)

I've had Comcast formerly Insight Cable around here without getting a box. It just comes in over the coaxial in the wall.

HAHAHAHAHAA
Everything he has made has Issue's.

Apple makes the BEST music players in the world;

Apple makes the BEST smartphone in the world;

Apple, of course, continues to make the BEST computers in the world.

As I said before, Apple is on its way to becoming the BIGGEST consumer electronics conglomerate of the globe; this is happening in less than 2 years.

MS is DEAD. DELL is DEAD.
