I hope something happens soon because I'll be computerless after this weekend and I gotta decide between a MacBook or iMac. Any news on new iMacs? LOL

Also Australian Refurb store has about 15 MBP's - very unusual...

Also Viccles - in regards to your time zone question earlier in this thread, 1am AEST Wednesday is 8am PST (San Fransisco) Tuesday.

is tomorrow the day?

I am a noob so please don't flame me.

Is tomorrow the day, or is it another tuesday. I don't care about specs, bricks, screen ratios, etc.

I just want to know if new macbooks and or macbook pros are being released tomorrow in the US.

Thanks

I wouldn't say it was required, but I believe Apple would want to push newly-designed 'books to get as much media attention as possible. Apple's laptop share is on the rise so I think it's something they would want to do for marketing reasons.
I'm sure that was the argument that people gave for an event for the original MacBook. Maybe the reason why there was no event for it was because it was the only product released that day. A single redesign may not warrant an event, but a redesign and new versions of software would (August 2007).

They were (and still are, except for the Blackbook) very similar in appearance to the iBook/Powerbooks.
Let's see…
  • Keyboard changed
  • Speakers changed
  • Display changed
  • Display aspect ratio changed
  • Battery changed
  • Magnetic latch and iSight
And no, they don't look similar at all. So according to you, a redesign consisting of a material change (even a color change) and nothing else is a big redesign, and a redesign that changes everything else is a small one? I thought so.

But whatever reason they had for not making more noise about the product introduction then, I am not comparing the two situations.
Well I am comparing them, as they both involve redesigns. Makes sense, right?

Just read the past one thousand three hundred thirty posts and you'll know the truth.

Are you serious? I'm a n00b too, but even I know better than to ask this question. No one here knows anything more than you do, pal. It's all just speculation and conjecture at this point. Now go back to biting your nails and hitting 'reload' on your browser like the rest of us.

Surely theres got to be a good 14-16 hours until the announcement of the new Macbooks are made right? In which time zone are they announced first? US?
