In my area seems theres no stock for macbook pro's at BB but they have stock for the macbook's.
I'm feeling good vibes about tonight thoughI hope others are feeling it! My theory is that Apple wouldn't let there be no stock for long, they'd be losing out on $$$
Yeah agreed. As we saw Best Buy are out of stock, and if they're out of stock all over America for just a week image how much they would lose alone.
man i've been waiting since Macworld 08, that was only a let down with the friggen Air. And recently with the damn lets rock event that's only seemed to piss me off even more. I'm tired of iPod's and i'm tired of iPhones, I don't give a damn about crap with i's infront of it. I just want a new Macbook pro, i'm a hardware whore and the current line isn't doing it for me.
Who knows maybe the only way they can prevent leaks is to not announce an event and just quietly update them?
Maybe they are rewarding us hardcore fans for waiting so long and doing a low key release so they wont be sold out for us?

Good lord, I hope you're right... I have been laptop-less for over a year now and it's been a living hell because I travel a lot! I love my iMac, don't get me wrong, but I needs me a friggin laptop again and I refuse to buy until they're updated. And I'm tired of waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just went to apple.com (hoping for some kind of good news) and saw the front page with the new Nanos on it - and on the home page of the store saw all of the "New" tags next to the iPods. As much as I hope its tomorrow (waiting to upgrade to a Pro) I'm starting to have my doubts. I just think its too close to the release of the new iPods. The ad for the new iPods on the store front page is just barely 2 weeks old and I don't think Apple is in any rush to stop advertising those.

At the risk of sounding like endless "next Tuesday" wishful thinking, I agree. September 30 looks likely if September 23 does not eventuate. I say this because several products in the past have been announced on the last Tuesday of a month.
With 6 hours (or whatever) to go, I'm just setting myself up for no update today. Then it's a pleasant surprise if it happens.
The only thing worse than no update today is an update today with a speed bump only
Well, as of two minutes ago, all macbooks/macbook pros are available in most of the stores around Boston. That's all I'm saying.
Weird... When I checked an hour or so ago, that wasn't the case... Maybe their website has been updated with new stock information or something since then... There was more stock around here than there is in other parts of the country, but less than what you posted.
I guess I'm going to bed soon--this is looking less and less likely.
I need to get up before 9 AM tomorrow, anyway, so I'll be ready if they do happen to be released. Goodnight, guys.This looks good!
