Is Arnhem the Fed-Ex hub for all of Europe?

Wasn't Arnhem severely bombed during World War 2? So what's the deal with Arnhem - it must be centrally located or something?

Well that's something at least!

The current information you have indicates that your computer has arrived in the UK and sitting in a depot/warehouse waiting to be collected either by UPS or TNT. You must wait till you get an update stating 'Scan to truck' which means that it's been picked up by the courier.

Once they have collected your parcel, you should receive another tracking number via the Apple Status page issued by the courier. You can then track directly from the courier's website.

The good news is that once you get this final tracking number, I would expect you to receive your computer the next day (within 24 hours) or latest the following day (depending on the company).

Keep your fingers crossed.:)

I hope that's true, but sadly I think it's just the AppleCare bit and the MacBook, which is coming separately by Kuhne & Nagel Spedition, is still en route from China. The Apple Shipment Status page says 'Merge in Transit GB' so I guess the AppleCare package is twiddling its thumbs somewhere waiting for the computer to join it. www.apecode.com/appletrack/ reveals nothing about the main package yet - Error: Delivery Note "80XXXXXXXX" is unknown! (0104) :(

Arrrggghhhh me too!

26 May 2006 12:00 Pudong International Airport Potential Connection Delay
25 May 2006 20:47 Suzhou Shipped From Originating Depot
24 May 2006 22:06 Suzhou Consignment Received At Transit Point
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!
Ordered on the 22nd. Wanted it by Monday (I know, a tall order) 29th for a show. Not gonna happen now. Why oh why couldn't Apple go back to the system they had before of distributing from the Netherlands for all european sales. If TNT/whoever mess up a shipment of apple's stuff and it's for Apple Europe, there's hell to pay, cause it'll be 5,000 macs. If they mess up one, then no one cares. But ME!!

The Kuhne Nagel tracker went alive!

Date Code Event something ETA

25 may 06 30 63 handover at supplier CNSHA50 02 jun 06
25 may 06 30 61 Consignment Booking received from supplier CNSHA50 02 jun 06

From what I gather, it's coming from Flextronics in Netherlands? Well, better this than anything else. Now if only the other tracker went alive...

You lucky b*stard, mine's still stuck in Pudong. Why oh why? My apple page says it's still supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but if it's still "potentially delayed" in Pudong... Potferdoeme zenne.

In WO2 there were heavy fightings and airbornes (Operation Market Garden) in Arnhem.
Here's some info:
----
# The TNT International Road Hub opened in October 1998 and is located at Arnhem, The Netherlands within two hours of TNT Express' European Air Express Centre at Liège in Belgium, which is Europe's most advanced dedicated air cargo hub

# The TNT International Road Hub and the TNT European Air Express Hub both lie within the Amsterdam-Paris-Frankfurt triangle which is one of the most industrialised areas in Europe enabling the company to reach two thirds of its European customers within four hours

# Together these two major sortation facilities provide support for the TNT Express integrated air and road networks

# The International Road Hub provides TNT Express with easy access to many large multinational customers, many of which have chosen The Netherlands as a location for their European distribution centres
------

My MacBook is not out of delivery jet, and on the phone the customer service couldn't say to me what time it will. But the TNT tracker is not always realtime uptodate, so mayby he's out already.

Yeah me too, that really sucked. But he's out for delivery now, and 'm waiting and waiting for the white-orange TNT van :p

hmm TNT still says onforwarded for delivery and apple site says out for delivery since yesterday. But no computer.. hopefully I will see it today.

mine was delivered at 8:50 this morning!
Too bad I'm at work right now and have to go to school in the evening so I won't hav a chance to mess with it until tonight.. At least it's here though...

Same here, this is plain and simple torture :(

9 ways to make time go by faster ("10 ways" is not original).

1) Sleep
2) Get really drunk
3) Find a really hot girlfriend and make sweet love down by the fire.
4) Learn your cat/dog/goldfish how to play Hold'em Poker
5) Write a song. When that's done, write the rest of the album. It probably will suck but you could earn a buck or to for it. Worked well for James Blunt.
6) Go exercice. You know you won't be getting off your fat bum once the MacBook will be delivered, so you need to be prepared.
7) Write a obituary notice for the local newspaper announcing the death of your crappy old Windows ME running PC. Flowers accepted.
8) Waste time here (much of you like to respect this rule more than the others)
9) Write a post trying to make up 10 reasons on how to make time go by faster (works well for me)

Mine just got there (i am making this post form my first apple-computer ever). So far (about 30mins) it's an amazing machine, keyboard takes some getting used to but it's improving rapidly.

Monitor is perfect, i have no troubles with the glossyness.. Fans haven't kicked in yet, which might be the reason why the left-rear part is getting noticeably warmer then the rest..
Very impressed so far! Espescially with the 2-finger-trackpad.

I would like to have a 24/7 TV channel dedicated to our MacBooks broadcasting live from Shanghai. We could send SMS like on MTV:
"TNT sucks!!! please please please put my MB on the next flight!!!"
There would be a reporter in Arhem to receive "the chosen ones".

Actually got some tracking info from http://www.apecode.com/appletrack/:

30 may 06
32 05
Flight Booked
CNSHA50

27 may 06
00 04
Picking confirmed, EDI received
CNSHA50
*
27 may 06
30 61
Consignment Booking received from supplier
CNSHA50

26 may 06
30 63
handover at supplier
CNSHA50

Not exactly rushing are they :( I presume '30 may 06 ... Flight Booked' means he flight is booked for 30 May - as it's not actually the 30th anywhere in the world yet I guess that can't be when they booked it! Could be when they're intending to book it I suppose

There is a big, BEAUTIFUL brown box sitting in my living room.

*Dies*

However, I am going to get dressed and have breakfast before I even think of touching it.

EDIT: And also post here.

Maybe I'll even clean my room. It has to be nice for my MacBok!

And yes, I was the kind of kid who made Christmas presents be opened in order, really, really slowly, just to prolong the experience.

EDIT: Oh, and it took a week - I ordered last Sunday. FedEx, Ontario, Canada.

How long is it supposed to take to ship from China?

Date Time Location Status
25 May 2006 16:41 Suzhou Shipped From Originating Depot
24 May 2006 09:46 Suzhou Consignment Received At Transit Point

It's supposed to be delivered on Wednesday, but if it's still in China or wherever, I don't think they're going to meet that deadline.

Daniel

I'm still awaiting an update to the TNT tracker. It says it arrived in Nottingham on Saturday morning but my nearest depot is Edinburgh. I hope this isn't a bad sign.
