OMG! I just got mine

:D :D :D :D

Just recieved it here at work.

I had to open it and show it to my co-workers. "Ahh..beautiful" was said numerous times. :)

It was just as gorgeous as I thought it would be. the screen is bright and clear - love it. Keyboard fits me perfectly (have small hands). Love the iSight. I don't think there are words that can describe my feelings right now (a little pathetic, I know, it's just an item  )

Anyway, have to wait 'til I get home to play with it. Re-install everything and all. Dang, this day is going to be slow.. :(

My tracker says it's still in Pudong, the TNT operator says it's in Belgium, and might be delivered today... What to expect? Has it ever happened that the tracker was completely wrong? Or is TNT trying to buy some time, here? :D

Boooo I put in my tracking reference number into TNT web site and it comes back with "no consignments found".

On Apple's web site I see the following info:-
May 26, 2006 at 02:04 PM GMT - Order number W7954xxxx View order details Shipped - May 29, 2006 via TNT International Express
Tracking #: 2947xxxxx

How are you guys tracking yours ?

dwbhx, how are you finding you new MacBook? I see you have the same spec machine as I ordered. 1 GB RAM enough do you think?

Hi there,
I've spent the weekend tweeking and setting up my MacBook. It's marvelous. 5 Star for perfomance. I've loaded a heap load of software like Office 2004, VCL, Real Player, Limewire, iSquint, and even the Hotmail plugin for Mail which is running on Rosetta. So far everything runs well. Compared with my iMac G5, I could hardly notice the difference in speed. In fact, Firefox works a lot faster on the MacBook than Safari which is a real surprise.
The MacBook is quite, the screen is great, love the new keyboard and yes it does get slightly hot after long usage but nothing to worry about....generally no complaints at all. My only one regret is that I wish I've ordered a bigger hard disk. However, I read that you can actually replace the hard disk at a later stage...which in my opinion is fantastic.
Have you got yours yet??

Regards
:D

If the TNT lady claims it's in Belgium, it'll probably be in Belgium.
Mine was shipped from Shuzou on saturday, but only on friday dit it show up on the tracker (while it was already in holland, making it's way to brussels). And on monday (yesterday) i got it.. so i'd gues you'll have yours real soon!

You reckon i'd be the first to have a BTO in Belgium (azerty.be)? :) (ordered the day of release).

Check your private messages ;)

Tried with the 8xxxx number, nothing, nada. Maybe it's too early for it to be listed on the TNT UK website. Not found with the tracking number of the customer reference number.

No PM either !

Cheers

I was talking to Mr. Bassman. But now i'm talking to you: I had to wait a day or two before the TNT tracker kicked in. In the meantime, there's this site, apecode.com.
Here's what it says:

Use this if the tracking-link from the Apple Store page doesn't work for you. Seems like this is a problem for Apple-customers in Europe only. Kuehne+Nagel handles the delivery of your computer equipment from the factories to the company used for local delivery, usually TNT. This usually happens in Luxembourg. This means that you can see what happens from you get the shipment notification until the tracking information is available at TNT.

So you might wanna check that out, or else be patient! ;) Good luck, the annoying waiting days are ahead!

Fingers drumming on table impatiently... Fingers are gonna be sore by the time my MacBook arrives

Cheers

i'm gonna take the plunge after waiting all this time :)

but 1 question -

buy from apple or buy from Amazon UK ? i'm going with the stock £749 model and i hate TNT and waiting weeks before they do anything so i was thinking maybe Amazon are a better bet

Wooo hooo
Just found it on TNT. It wasn't there earlier as I'd looked for the 8xxxxx number previously.

which number did you use to successfully bring up the TNT tracking? on the track shipment page with apple, it says carrier details to be updated shortly (been saying that since 25th!!!), so does that mean i have to wait before i will be able to look for it on TNT, my flight has departed accoding to apecode.com.....but that hasnt updated since the 27th! the frustration, i want a little camera, so i can see exactly where my macbook is right now!!!!
