MacBook Shipping Times

I post this mainly to express my excitment...

I ordered my Black MacBook on Sunday and I just checked and I'm now in the no cancel zone... I will post again tommorow if it ships!!

yeh, i had a shipping email on the 25th, weird eh...im beginning to get worried, although on apecode.com i can track it, but i think it has tracked it as far as it can. now it will have (hopefully) been handed over to TNT. the apecode tracker just tracks with keune and nagal, and it says 'flight departed' on that tracker, this whole business is so confusing!

Same here, it was "flight departed" for ages but started moving again this evening:

The Apecode site says this in the front page:

Update 17.nov: The tracking number on the KN status is now a link to the TNT tracking. Click it if the status indicates that "handover is accepted" or "delivered to third party".

So KN transfers it around until gets to the local TNT and they handle it to the finish. We'll see if that's true here in Finland, though...

arrived this morning and is utter perfection, ran bootcamp and did a 50/10 split with vista which runs great and is slightly less annoying than XP, though i have yet to get aero glass working, though thats just activation which i'll do tomorrow.

it moo's but it's very very quiet i only notice if i'm trying to, some time i'll crack her open and inspect the thermal paste situation, otherwise it's fine, heat is bearable it's not that much hotter than my ibook.

i ran a game just to see and i got about 15fps with close combat first to fight (running in rossetta)

I'll join in the thread again as I ordered a second MacBook (1st one was actually for my wife, but I liked it sooo much... ) on Monday. It seems Apple's shipping times are quite good, as it shipped today (BTO White 1.83 w/ 80GB hard disk) whereas it was estimated to ship on the 5th of June!!! This time it's shipping directly with TNT and has an ETA of 9th of June (changed today from 15th ), so I hope that might mean it comes faster this time.

Oh yeah, I also ordered two gigs of A-DATA RAM like some other posters, so I'll let you know how that works out once it arrives.

Will keep you all updated on the progress.

Wow

I ordered a Black Macbook on May 25, BTO with a 120Gig HD (I got the standard memory). The original order stated it would ship on June 2 and arrive on June 9. (I got free standard shipping).

I recieved notification that it shipped on May 29, due to arrive on June 6. I just checked FedEx this morning and it will be here tomorrow, June 1.

The flight from Shanghai to Europe apparently took four days (I wonder how many stopovers they made...), and the Macbook is still at the EDC by now. This is taking forever... BTW I'm in Germany.

Apparently your MacBook is another one from the same bunch as mine and shawsinio's. Glad to have you aboard!

Update: Interesting part is that I've now been assigned yet another tracking number in the Apple Store, formatted RTMLxxxxxxxx which apparently doesn't work anywhere, only se 80xxxxxxx format one works when punched into Apecode.

Here's a little perl script I wrote that sends me an email as soon as the KN tracker status is updated. Just run it as a cron job (e.g. every 15 minutes), sit back and wait for emails

hey designed, my apple delivery status has now changed to delivery yesterday, the 30th, how odd, i am now hoping, that maybe it wil be at home when i finally leave work! but probably not!!!

im kinda getting annoyed, wondering why it doesnt seem to have been shipped onto TNT yet though...any suggestions?

Hehe, well I called Apple today and the lady told me mine will arrive on monday, too. I said "I don't think so as monday is a public holiday in Germany!"... I could have used that weekend plus monday to examine the new machine!!

Large MacBook 1.83GHz Order Update 4

Well, at 9:30am CST the rest of the MacBooks (45) arrived via Morrison Express. I think the guy was a little tired because these computers traveled all the way from Chicago which is around a 14 hour drive from here. We have set up 15 system so far and everything is working great. Once again, all of these computers were order on May 19th. Well I better continue working. We are currently calibrating batteries.

My KN-tracker stopped looking like this:

And after, say 8 hours, the TNT tracker came alive. But this is partly because the (or so I figured) MB meeted up with it's accessories in Netherlands and then started to travel with TNT.
