hey, i got a problem here

Apple dispatched my macbook and i've got a reference number that can be tracked on TNT.

The TNT calculates if i send an item from china today via International Express, i'll be able to get it next monday (london).. but apple says it'll take 10 days...

who to TRUST

Shipped!

just received the dispatch notification email from Apple:D but now the Est. deilvery date is changed to 31st, it was 29th

anyone know about this carrier called "Kuhne & Nagel Spedition s.a r." and "Flextronics c/o Express Cargo"? never heard about them. why not TNT?

First off..I ordered my MacBook on Wednesday (May 17)..with a 2.0GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and 80GB Hard Drive

I tried that..and it would not let me cancel...instead I got this message:
We're sorry, the items on your order can not be cancelled online. Click on "Why can't these items be cancelled?" to learn more. If you still have questions please visit Customer Service online or call 1-800-676-2775.

Does this mean my MacBook will be shipping soon?
(I haven't recieved an email from Apple regarding shipping yet)

Apparently so, mine says the same thing now so hopefully its been shipped and we'll be notified soon!

Congrats! Kuhne and Nagel will deliver your MacBook to TNT in Europe, but they are the ones that ship from China. You should be able to track the progress via Apecode. I definitely think it'll arrive before the 31st though.

Already Shipping ^^

My MacBook is already shipping, but I don't now much about te date of delivery. I'm in the Netherlands, does it have to go all the way from America? My latest date of delivery is 29th may, that's kinda far away..

It'll come directly from the factory in China. It'll probably go via Luxembourg, so it shouldn't take too long to get to you. :) Pretty much definitely before the 29th I'd reckon. You can track your MacBook at the link I mentioned in my last post.

Congrats on your new MacBook!

edit: By the way, which MacBook did you order?

I think you'll find Apple always list the date of delivery 10 days after the item shipped, usually delivery takes 3-10 days I think its coming from China, keep a track of it...you may get it early.

I do too! Woohoo! :D I must admit that it was a little scary to press the button to cancel my order even though I was dead certain there would be some kind of confirmation needed to actually cancel the order. :)

Seems like alot of us are getting this error message when trying to cancel the order. In my opinion this means the MacBooks are probably in a store somewhere awaiting the next pickup and whenever that comes we will be notified probably around Lunch time today...Getting excited!!!

Mine too can't be canceled...:D Gentlemens... the time is finally here ;)

UPDATE: Mine has been shipped as we speak ;) yea yea yea.... i checked on apple.com... Still wait for the email!

UPDATE: e-mail finally here

Mine can't be cancelled but it hasn't shipped yet.

The last few times I ordered something from the Store (including my iMac) it wasn't delivered by TNT. It was a company called Lynx Express, whose website says they are a UPS company. I could never find my order status on the TNT website at all.

Mine Shipped this morning, its a Black CTO (+Modem)

Its 6 days ahead of Apple's original shipping estimate.

It gives me hope to hear that another Black CTO shipped to Europe. I really hope mine ships today as well.

From TNT:

"New Disruption

China 17th May 2006: Please be advised that due to typhoon "Chan Chu" in Xiamen, China all export and import flights from the 17th and 18th May are expected to be delayed. Pick up and deliveries will also be affected due to the roads affected. It is asked that escalations are held and note that systems will be updated after the weather is back to normal."

Does it affect our shippments?

I think they will be fine or have a small delay, the poor weather isnt going to stop much besides your MacBooks are probably already out of china...Anyway you should know soon enough as i'm sure the Apple tracking will keep you posted,
