MacBook Shipping Times

Just called up Apple to ask about a few things like Warranty etc and thought it was worth a try asking the advisor the state of my order. Anyway they seem to have a more accurate system than the one we can access, he said my MacBook is built and is awaiting a pickup and shoulld go out and be shipped later today....
This is probably the case for all of those who cannot cancel but still haven't shipped...

On behalf of the people who's MacBooks have not yet shipped. Thanks for asking that ShadoW! :)

I'm hoping mine will show up on Apecode sometime later today, but I'm trying not to check until Monday so that I can actually get some work done... I have a deadline approaching and this is getting quite distracting. :D
 
Mine has now shipped. The problem I have now is that I'm away next week and no one is here to sign or take delivery..

Does anyone in the UK know how long it normally takes from it being shipped to being delivered to your home ?

The website now says it will be delivered on or before 29th May. Anyone in the UK know what happens if you are not at home to sign for the delivery - do they keep trying ?

Just my luck that this is the first Apple shipment I've had that is going to show up early :D

Usually about 5 working days from when it shipped,

I still get error when I try to track via TNT or ApeCode (which I think just link to TNT anyway)

Anticipation is killing me :)

I had to wait approx 12 hours before I could see something on TNT website..
I still can't get any info on ApeCode (get a the error)
 
Well it shipped Thursday, you'd think it would be on there by now :confused:

Hold on just refreshed TNT and now it says pickup 20th??? WHAT??? Shipping notification on Thursday 18th?? This is getting more and more confusing :confused: :confused:

No other information on TNT tracking though, not even where it was picked up from.

I HATE TNT! :(

Apple tracking doesnt say anything other than on schedule?

Why dont we get the choice of expidited shipping or UPS?

You are not alone.. TNT sucks... I should lived in US or Canada ;) They use Fedex.. And its going fast i can tell you that!

You should get better info by monday i guess... Now you should relax and enjoy the weekend.. thtas what im gonna do ;)

My original shipping date on the Macbook was the 26th! But it was dispatched yesturday :) So hopefully it'll arrive sometime next week (i'm hoping for wednesday, but who knows).
 
Mine's supposedly going to ship the 26th, but as i've been unable to cancel it for at least 24hrs, i'm hoping they ship it sooner (damn weekend).
 
Mine has jsut shipped! I got the notification email around 8AM, and Apple says it will be here by May 26th, but I am hoping it comes earlier ;)

EDIT: Does anyone know where the MacBooks (BTO) are shipped from...My FedEx tracker doesnt tell me where the package is originating from
 
Mine left Indianapolis as of 4:28 this morning. It doesn't say whether by air or ground, but if by air I might have it today. If by ground, I'll have it on Monday.
 
Bah - mine "shipped" yesterday, but it didn't make the cutoff date, so my guess is it's still in China and hasn't been loaded on a plane yet. If that's the case, I'm not sure if FedEx ships on Saturday or not... right now I feel like a little kid and just want more information!

Mine is shipping to the UK... This is what the TNT tracker says for me:

20 May 2006 16:46 Suzhou Consignment Received At Transit Point

So i guess they come from Suzhou in China then!

I think a Fedex ship from China to Europe would be longer as it would most likely have to pass through their hub in the US. I doubt Fedex has any direct China to Europe flights.

Interesting - we both must have MacBooks on the same flight :) My tracker shows:

Shanghai, CN 5/20/2006 21:40 Left FedEx Ramp
Suzhou, CN 5/19/2006 17:31 Left FedEx Origin

Although, if it is the same flight, my guess is that it's coming to the US first, and THEN to Europe (I live in the United States, and my guess is that the flight is going to hit Alaska, then the continental states, then push east toward Europe), but who's to say.

No way.. I refuse ;) ... Remember that its TNT and not Fedex. So i really hope its no true... I think its 2 different flights

Don't worry guys! Apple just booked a pickup with both companies for a batch that was ready at the same time. They will be taking different routes out of China I'm sure. Now if I could just find a way to sneak mine on the same TNT flight... :D
 
Does fedex deliver on saturdays? I have one that left indiana at 2:15 am today. Austin tx is the final destination. Is this gonna stretch out until monday or what? I'm nervous about it overheating/ other issues because it's CTO, 120 gig hd (i.e. non-returnable). everything else is stock, aside from that 150.00 black tax.

EDIT: China, to Alaska, to Indiana, to... ? Hopefully texas.

Do you get any results from TNT website when you try tracking you order?

And BTW, when it says Suzhou Shipped From Originating Depot , does it mean that the flights has departed or what?

Here's a stupid question for all you FedExers out there: What does "Left FedEx ramp" mean? Does it mean it's actually on a plane somewhere, or that it just left a sorting facility, or what?

Did you really BTO it with 2 GB RAM? You know you could save literally $300 by not buying through the ridiculously priced Apple.
