How long have we had the current MacBook Pro case design? It's been YEARS since they changed it...I hope we get a new design soon, I'm sorta sick of the current one although it works well enough.

I don't know or care about what's coming out. C'mon people, they are just computers!

That would be great! I want more than a refresh and that means wait for mid march :D OK for me!

I agree. I hope they do a nice redesign of the product. I know it's been a long time for an update... but the longer it takes— the more likely they have something cool coming.

Or, my other theory... MBP is End of Life. They come out with a single MB product line... with pro-level set up available at the high end. All would look like the iMac/iPhone. MBA would remain, with a 12" version added.

What would MBs get revised with?

The gap between MB and MBP is already too narrow, while the price gap is too wide, in my opinion.

damn !

Sunday i cancel a sweet bid on a mbp, because of the "it might be this Tuesday".

Really hope its the mbp revision tomorrow.
If you count the people that are waiting for the mbp, again , imac, MB, mini, ... Apple surely would make more cash and more people happy with the mbp launch then any other piece of hardware software.

WIll not Sleep !!!

What kind of a drama has this become .. Macbooks getting upgraded twice before our gud old MBP gets an upgrade . Sound pathetic , unreasonable, unbelievable ...... but with :apple: it is possible .. and i hate that ..... The wait begins 4 tuesday .. ( i wud not mind no update 2morrow but MB gettin upgrade b4 MBP will kill me ) ,.. SJ u better bring some gud news:mad:

pfffft

honestly it follows with apple's obvious lack of neglect to their power users. to be honest.. ****ing annoying. pathetic support for us who are actually passionate about what we buy.

That would be really lame. Although the forum fury would be funny........

If the macbooks have better processors than the MBPs... well apple is retarded..

Maybe :apple: and jobs will surprise everyone tomorrow...

MBP and MB update

because an MB update ahead of the MBP would be pure insanity...

I hope this is true and they do a minor spec upgrade on the MB to the Penryn processors. You can even order a cheap Dell with Penryn already... If it does arise, I'll be buying a Penryn blackbook.

I like the current MBP design but that is not to say it could not be better and fresher.

I got glossy and I'm disappointed with the longevity of the screen - it seems to have picked up permanent marks quicker than my old PB G4. Maybe a new flat (MBA style) keyboard would help. It might also stop the keys from going blank, when the dimly lit symbols match the brightness of the keys which is annoying.

Given the weight of the MBP 15" I think a magnetic latch would work well - so I don't need to put my finger on my iSight lens when I open the screen.

For some reason the aluminium of my MBP has picked up many more seemingly permanent marks compared to my PB G4. I'm not talking about dents, just weird marks.

And please can we have huge hard drive capacities?

What could the update to the MacBook be? I'm hoping for new casings, but the chances of that are slim, no? Would love to be able to buy a MacBook with a silver aluminum casing matching that of the current iPod Nano and Classic!

Way to cover your ass MacRumors!!

So in essence, just in case your MBP prediction is wrong, you run this thread on page 2. Way to go out on a limb MacRumors.

Yes. Because people without passion buy MacBooks.

Totally agree. MBs have already been updated with Santa Rosa to the point where they are dangerously competitive with the MBP. It seems strange that MB would get multi-touch prior to MBP, and any performance upgrade would mean outpacing the MBP - doesn't make any sense...
