Yes! Get the MacBook out already Apple so I can wait around for the Rev. B :D  :p

Ditto. No way in frozen hell I'd buy a Rev. A.

The only Rev A. I own is FrankenMac, and that's because I modded the hell out of it and it doesn't suck anymore. XD

I think they would check the MacBook very carefully to make sure that it won't come with to many bugs

I would buy Rev. A....how bad can it be?

My god, we are a gullible bunch, aren't we? ;-)

We have one guy telling us that they're discontinuing a best selling model (12"PB) and another one telling us they're discontinuing the best selling electronic item since the TV. And we're actually beliving it!

Once again, Easy, just asking.

Since when were Macs gaming machines?

Ever?

True, but you know I just had a silly thought, what if we're missing something here. I mean we know that the iBooks are going to MacBooks and probably going to be released on Tuesday, but what about what we don't know. There could be a release of a new iPod with games that would coincide with release at E3. Maybe there is some kind of special relationship between the new MacBook and (as I'm speculating) new gaming iPod.

*ducks behind counter and puts on flame suit*

why shouldn't they be gaming machines. They use the exact parts and their PC counterparts. I've seen post of people who say games are running great on their Macbook Pros (under Boot Camp).

If it's using a different board than the MBP - ie. Core Solo - It could be bad. If they're using the same board, I'd feel a little safer, but still. My needs aren't so dire that I can't wait till at least one product revision.

But then again - The G3/900 iBook was what, a Rev D or E? And they sucked more than a black hole. Never owned a Mac that was as horribly unreliable as the G3 iBook.

new macbook photos

real or fake?

check out the isight and microphone

and its white!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fake. First of all, no IR tranceiver for the Front Row remote. Second, it has two latches when we've all been told adamantly that it won't have latches. Plus, why would you need two latches on a notebook that small anyway?

And we've seen these images before as mock-ups.

And they are right next to the media center room and the storage room where the "do not open" boxes are located. This is IT!

Ok, this is what I've been looking for.

I hereby change my prediction from "Not a chance" to "50% likely of some kind of MacBook release next week." I'm still expecting some sort of "event", but it's now looking like such an event may happen.

E3, a games show, is a strange event to launch the MacBook, but it might indicate that they're planning to make the MacBooks portable iMacs, not Mac minis, as are the latest rumours pointing at Core Duos in the things. IIG will go down badly with gamers, again pointing at a portable iMac, not a portable Mac mini.

My revised prediction, IF the release is next week, is that the MacBook will be priced from $1,299 and up, and will probably include an X1600. I'm trying to fiddle with the configurations, and I can't see a line-up that doesn't emphasize how awful the MBP 15" prices are. I wonder if Apple will drop the prices on the 15"? The bad news is that this isn't going to be a mass-market Mac, despite the rumours Apple's betting on huge sales for the thing.

Could be worst.... Intel Core Solo 1.45GHz with GMA900/32MB. ;-)

And then it will be in a smaller tablet enclosure with gestures and an iPod on steroids feel priced at $599.

Whatever happened to the Vaio guys Apple highered for redesigning their mobile lines?

I've been wondering what they have been up to. I hope the design is not just a MPB in white.
