Everyone who said wearable computer was right. Congratulations!
The new iMac is actually a 21st century propeller cap with an adjustable monitor so you can read it while walking. Ingenious.
Good job, everybody!

If the article is legit, then this line implies that there are no new G5s...
Manipulating video-distilling those 90-min. tapes of mind-numbing music recitals and awards banquets into amusing, fast-moving 3-min. shorts-is almost as simple on the new iMac, which features a fast G4 chip, just like Apple's top-of-the-line machines
Look specifically at the last part of the quote. It looks to me like they're going to stick with the G4s.

Ok guys... ignore the french site.... it's just reprinting bad rumors... it's not up to date.
TimeCanada is legit and real. I have no doubt that's the real iMac to be introduced tommorrow.
It's $1800 US Dollars for the high end. See MacMinute - they have the actual Time US article and state clearly $US 1800.

Personally, I think it looks a lot better than the mockups people have been distributing around

Okay, my two cents... First, I fully expect it's $1299 US, because I will NOT get my hopes up for an $800 computer this cool... 'course, i can't afford it either way... Secondly, to all those people wondering if the screen will detach... NO. The article clearly states that the ****ing PROCESSOR IS IN THE BASE. It cannot operate sans-processor, and the idea that it has another processor IN the screen is rediculous. Plus, if it's detachable, it must have a hard drive and RAM built in, which would mean the base could be considerably smaller without those things. And again, it won't have secondary memory in the screen. that's wasteful and expensive.

I know apple's strategy. If this iMac is the center of the digital hub then all of its devices will hook up to it. When the iPod was released everyone wanted to know if there was a remote because it looked like it had a transmitter built in. What if that was this "gigwire" that everyone was talking about? It can connect peripherals wirelessly. You simply walk into your house with your iPod and can connect with your iMac without cables and upload songs. This would also allow for a wireless keyboard and mouse. I have also heard mention of a wireless video system being worked on. Maybe people who have already bought iPods have gigawire already and don't even know it. Just a thought.
