How did you update your efi? Do I need to reinstall the original apple drive? I rebooted multiple times, but still no bluetooth. WiFi is working though. Thanks.

No, you don’t need to install the Apple Drive. I am using a third-party SSD.
All you need to do is boot the original OS that supports your machine and do an update via system preferences.
The first step of the update will up your EFI, afterwards you can boot back into Monterey.
Obviously, you need to take the necessary precautions for your system. But these are the basic steps. I haven’t had any issues doing this yet.

Updated my MBP11,1 (no root patches needed, delta OTA update) and MBP11,3 (Kepler root patch needed, full OTA update) from macOS Monterey 12.5.1 to 12.6, without any problems, both with OCLP 0.4.10. Sadly, the aforementioned Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office bug remains, only on the MBP11,3; i.e., some secondary windows (Preferences and some setup windows) simply won’t appear: very strange, indeed! Otherwise, everything works as it should; and the latest Photoshop always reports the Kepler dGPU as fully supported: also with OpenCL, which, as is known, might still be partially broken on that model…

Reseting the PRAM before doing the update may be necessary too to revert any changes made by OCLP. My 2012 Mac mini would not update its firmware unless I did that. Once the updates are done, selecting the OCLP EFI boot partition will restore the necessary PRAM changes.

Reporting success with 12.6 on both my 2014 21" iMac and my 2013 27" iMac! Many, many thanks to the devs for keeping these old machines alive 🙂

OK. So the extreme CPU usage issue in Safari 16 seems to be related in part to JavaScript. If I select Develop -> Disable JavaScript, the lag and CPU usage stops increasing, though doesn't return to normal unless I close and restart Safari.
I'm not a coder, so I can't delve much deeper than that, but hopefully that'll help lead to some kind of solution for those smarter than I.

Hi @JDJones92, did you notice any issue if you open Google Maps with the latest Safari?
I don't use any Kext in my MacBookPro11,2 and after updating to Monterey 12.6 and Safari 16, I am getting a black screen in Google Maps+Safari just like @khronokernel described it would happen for Ventura on iGPUs (https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/issues/998)

Yes, I noticed this with the Safari 16 preview with 2013 MBA (not sure if I tested it yet in the final release, I am not at that computer now). Black window with green glitch running through. Of course other browsers worked fine... I learned not to use Safarai betas any more!

Also, I tested it on an MBA Early 2015 and a MacMini Late 2014 both running Monterey natively and they do not show the black screen on Safari 16.

You can try the last Safari 16.1 Beta 1 just released today. I installed it and works very well. All pages are opened instantly! Bum! (Apple's PDF notes list many of bug fixes and issues from version 16.0).
ATTENTION! The following I say from personal experience!
If Safari 16 was installed in Monterey and then Monterey was updated to Monterey 12.6, the update restore Safari 15 and malfunctions occur. For example, you can't change download consents in Safari preferences.
It is therefore necessary to reinstall Safari 16 after the update to macOS 12.6 or better the new Safari 16.1 Beta 1 build which solves the problems ofSafari version 16.0 and improves it.

Has anyone installed Monterey 12.6 on a MBPr late 2013 (Intel Graphics) with OCLP 0.4.10 (or OCLP 0.4.11n) ... if so, please report how it is performing, re. stability, speed/sluggishness, unexpected fan noise, crashing of common programs or anything else you wish you had known before leaping from Big Sur. For anyone who doesn't keep a dual boot: You can also etract the Efi file manually from the install image and flash it via terminal

sudo /usr/sbin/bless -firmware LOCATION/MBPXXX.scap --verbose --recoveryWorks for me, but maybe that's because I'm logged in to iCloud. If you're getting a username/password prompt, try your apple-id and password.
