Thanks for your feedback.Well, so I installed 12.6.4 from a bootable USB and get Safari 15.6.1, then I installed Safari 16.3 from Mr Macintosh website. All is OK now, but for the moment I recommand not to install Safari 16.4.
Anyone updated to 12.6.4?

What is your "recommendation" based on?All is OK now, but for the moment I recommand not to install Safari 16.4.
Perfect, as usual.Anyone updated to 12.6.4?
Same here. NO patches at all, all hardware is Monterey compatible.Perfect, as usual.
Too late. Everything works perfect for me.Yes, catastrophic. Patch fails, impossible to create a new snapshot. Safari bugs as reported above. Wait before doing this update!

Many things also broken in Mac pro 5,1 with Ventura. At least, we have support, I hope, till late next year.Updated to 12.6.4 on my MBP 10,2 with delta OTA after reverting root patch. Everything is good, nothing seems broken. Also updated Safari to 16.4 and everything is fine, you just have to reinstall root patch for the WebKit patch.
Went back to Monterey a few days ago from Ventura, just too many things broken on HD4000 graphics, I guess this will be the last OS for my decade old machine.
Yep,Hi,
On my MBP 2011 -> no issue with 12.6.4 but big issue with Safari 16.4.
All pages are blank or not complete.
I tried to back to 16.3, but issues with loading the pages (nothing works).
I don't know how to get Safari without issues :
- go to Ventura (but known issue with the intel HD Graphics 3000)
- make a bootable USB with the full 12.6.4 to get a new Safari 16.3 (and never install 16.4)
Technological Preview is rumored to work, check it out.I don't know how to get Safari without issues
After 2 days of research, I found a solution, by replacing in sys_patch.py the path for mounting the system volume in r/w.Yes, catastrophic. Patch fails, impossible to create a new snapshot. Safari bugs as reported above. Wait before doing this update!

Thanks for pointing me to that post.@roysterdoyster Another user reported that MBP4,1 must stay with 0CLP 0.6.2 for now. See here.

Open Disk Utility and eject whatever unknown volume.MBP4,1 Early 2008 17-inch updated to 12.6.4 via OCLP 0.6.3n.
The update didn't go through smoothly. After d/l the installer files via Softwareupdate, the machine was stuck. Reboot delivered the before used macOS 12.6.3, with 20GB invisible files added to my machine. Cleared the /library/updates folder, to no avail. Fired up Softwareupdate again, both updates macOS 12.6.4 and Safari 16.4 showed, but were not re-downloadable. the machine was from that point no longer restartable or to be shut-down, had to press on/off button on keyboard 5 secs. to shut it down the hard way. After repeating the above several times, finally the machine got updated to 12.6.4.
The 20GB of invisible residue files remain. How can I get rid of this?
Edit:
Sleep mode: works
Restart: doesn't work
Shut down: doesn't work
Safari 16.4: works
Edit#2:
the 20GB identify as "hidden space", which cannot be deleted.
I ran Disk Utilty and it found 11 snapshots, 1 named "com.apple.os.updates-XXX..." and 10 named "com.apple.bless-XXX..."
There is no "whatever unknown volume" to ejectOpen Disk Utility and eject whatever unknown volume.
Yes, without any problems, also no Safari issues as described in other posts, on a Mac mini 6,1.Anyone updated to 12.6.4?
