like before the devs can't know when Apple comes up with such adhoc intermediate bug fixes or safety updates. If necessary at all they will need some days to provide an adapted version and matching KDKs...thanks for your patience and happy holidays to everyone...

I bought a MacBook Pro 2014 with a damaged logic board with the aim of it being for spare parts for my original one then decided to have a go at fixing it , works perfect after fixing the logic Board and applying the correct amount of Thermal paste which was my first attempt at fixing a MacBook. Like that famous YouTuber says about right to repair and being able to get the parts plenty of life left in these.
Yes, update of Mac mini 6.2 under OCLP 1.3.0 and Sonoma 14.2 to Sonoma 14.2.1 did work, after the update I could not login, because the apple usb keyboard was very, very slow, every minute it did take only 1 key of my password. I switched off, did restart and did make a nvram reset ( press "space" as soon the harddisk icon of the bootloader does appear, than choose "nvram reset"). Than no delay of keyboard anymore, did install root patches and all does work well.

OK thanks for that, I tested it out after watching Mr Mac's video to check whether a rMBP10,1 2012 needs the KDK. Note that Mr Mac says "intel" at one point where he meant to say "AMD" so read the text that's displaying on the screen:
I confirmed that the rMBP10,1 does not need the KDKs because it has the intel iGPU and nVidia dGPU (so no issues with AMD), and no issues with USB 1.1 support.
So I did the following:
- Moved to trash any subfolders below the parent /Library/Developer/KDKs/ ...
I left the parent folder (/KDKs), may not be necessary but I don't know that for sure and was playing it safe. I may remove it later if anyone confirms you can do that. edit later: Removed the /KDKs folder in /Library/Developer/ folder and rebooted AOK, so it's probably safe to delete it - Rebuilt and installed to disk OCLP 1.3.0 and rebooted
- Reverted the root patches and rebooted
- Reapplied the root patches and rebooted

Maybe you can help me make a dear friend of mine happy too.
I helped this friend install macOS Sonoma 14.2 on his Late 2013 15-inch MacBook Pro with i7 CPU and nVidia GT750M (MacBookPro11,3).
If I'm not mistaken, my friend's MBP 15” is identical to your nephew's MBP. My friend used OCLP 1.3.0.
Everything works fine, but unfortunately my friend is a little disappointed because he can't get “Continuity Camera” to work, he can't edit photos in Photos.app and subject isolation in photos works in Finder, but doesn't work in Photos.app.
Could you check if what I described works instead in the MBP you gave as a gift?
In my late 2013 iMac with the same i7 CPU and nVidia GTX780M everything works and I find it strange that with the MBP, with more or less similar hardware, there are these defects.

Could be. For old Macs running Ventura and Sonoma, I'm finding the following to help with graphics performance:
- OCLP:: Advanced > FeatureUnlock: Partial (change setting, "Build and Install Open Core", reboot)
- macOS:: System Settings > Wallpaper > Dynamic Wallpapers: Ventura Graphic / Sonoma Graphic
- macOS:: System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Motion: Enabled
- macOS:: System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Transparency: Enabled
You can delete the /KDK folder also if your Hardware does not require a KDK if you like! Peaceful Christmas everyone & big hug to the whole OCLP Dev-Team! 🤗😍

Hello there. I confirm I can edit fotos in "Photos", but subject isolation does not work, as is a feature
reserved for Apple Silicons SoC´s. Unfortunately, I can´t test Continuity Camera, as the Iphone have to be in the same Icloud account and he don´t have an Iphone.

Installed 14.3 beta 1 on iMac 13,2, via an OTA update, on the release date. Used OCLP 1.3.0 (official release from 12.11.23) to patch the system.
No major issues noted in the time since update. A minor issue with Firefox developer’s edition, where black rectangles of various sizes show on the web page when computer wakes from sleep. Refreshing the web page fixes that graphics artifact.
MacBook Pro 5,2 (non-metal)
Already reported by HVDS, the OTA update from 14.2 fails, after initial “preparation” phase, on first reboot during installation process; progress bar stops and computer hangs almost immediately. However, on reboot, 14.2 was still fully functional on my computer.
Downloaded 14.3 beta 1 using OCLP “create installer” function, and used the OCLP to create installer on USB thumb drive. Booted into the USB drive and installation proceeded without major hiccups. Used OCLP 1.3.0 dated 12.11.23 to apply post install patches. System is surprisingly responsive and, subjectively, faster than 14.2 installation.
There is a problem with Bluetooth; while it appears to be active in menu bar, and in bluetooth settings panel, internal Bluetooth is unable to interact with other devices. When system information is queried about the bluetooth (via “about this Mac” -> More Info-> System Report->Bluetooth) internal Bluetooth is recognized as “third party dongle” and “Discoverable” function is set to OFF. While Bluetooth devices in range are listed, laptop can not interact with any of them. This behavior was also reported by other users. Resetting NVRAM, which worked in the past, does not bring back Bluetooth functionality.
It appears that, on MacBook Pro 5,2, internal Bluetooth was last fully operational in Monterey. Changing the OCLP versions in Ventura or Sonoma (EFI mount->delete contents-> revert patches, then install other OCLP versions), does not bring back Bluetooth functionality. Conversely, on Monterey patched with OCLP 1.3.0, the Bluetooth still functions as expected. It would seem changes in OCLP did not inactivate Bluetooth, but OS variants caused problems.
The MacBook Pro 5,2 has an internal SSD which hosts Catalina, Monterey, Ventura and Sonoma on separate volumes, but same container. I can boot into any of the four systems without problems, hence ability to test OCLP variants on multiple OS versions.

Hi, did you solved the issue with your RX 5700XT Anniversary Edition ? If yes please help me, since I have the same problem, on Sonoma, I got k.panic during boot. Please help !
No, because both Ventura and Sonoma require AVX2.0 CPU support (Mac Pro pre-2019 doesn't support) for GPU acceleration, and the 5700XT is Navi, which is unsupported via OCLP.
Our options are to wait for potential Navi support/fix/patch for the AVX2.0 issue, or drop down to Polaris/Vega. I don't want to go with Polaris/Vega, because 1) I already have a Navi GPU and 2) the older GPUs don't support DSC, which is what I need use to connect the 5700XT to my Pro Display XDR for native 6K60.

Hello I have a Imac 2012 21 I5, 16 Go ram, GeForce GT 640M 512 Mo with good result. The speed is very good, everything works fine, but sometimes the screen crashes or just the graphic of safari. This is no more than once a week. I think I don't have this problem with Ventura.
I had this issue. Restarted and text reverted to normal. Mbp 11,3 15” late 2013, sonoma 14.2.1 ocl- 1.3.0.
