Last week I manually installed 24G217 (RC4) on my rMBP10,1 via OCLP 2.4.1 (create installer option) but not yet offered any newer updates OTA.
But there is Safari 26 Dev preview offered. Weird:

OCLP today only offers 15.7 RC5 24G219.

In the past OTA have never downloaded on my MB (would always get stuck).
I always had to use OCLP to download the full installer and run it from /Applications.
Weird indeed you're not seeing it in the OTA offerings, maybe check again later.

I was pleasantly surprised the OTA workflow worked smoothly on this rMBP10,1. Like you I usually download the installer to /Applications using the OCLP option; but since it didn't appear in the OCLP list I went with the OTA update. This time I gave it a lot of time to complete, usually it seems to hang on the download or prep.

Just updated my Sequoia Beta test volume to Sequoia 15.7 RC via OTA (full installer). I also upgraded Safari to the latest 26.0 Seed. OS and Safari upgrades proceeded without issues. Posting this with Safari 26.0 in Sequoia 15.7. Applied non-metal Nvidia Tesla and Broadcom Wi-Fi post-install patches with OCLP 2.4.1.

Normally this is not necessary. OCLP starts automatically when there is an update of macOS.
Not quite true. OCLP will start automatically after macOS is updated (to prompt you to apply the root patches).
15.7 has not been officially released (according to Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/120283).

The main question is: is WebGL successfully activated in Safari 26 Dev with macOS 15.7? Could you check this please?
I'll wait for the release thx. I was not expecting Safari 26 and do not really want to experiment yet.

Maybe the releases are done geographically and in GB it will be later.
I have noticed recently that OCLP is no longer up to date with all the releases...maybe the change in personal is having an impact.

Maybe I've been impatient on the download/Prep phases with OTA.
Once, I'm sure I left it overnight (and turned off Sleep) and the following morning it was still stuck.
So I now always download the full installer and run it from /Applications.

Is anybody seeing problems with iMessages only holdin the log-in for about 5 seconds and then requesting a new login ad infinitum. It's happening on two OCLP Macs using 2.4.1 OCLP immediately after the 15.7 RC upgrade with two different iCloud accounts. It only seems to affect iMessages and Mail is working normally. Facetime seems OK too.

iMessages working fine on my rMBP10,1 on 15.7 RC 4. Been using it all day today.

Mine started off OK but this problem suddenly started after about 12 hours. Maybe roll back to earlier Sequoia 15.6 final and see if that fixes it.

Often fixes things. If others with the same, or adjacent, Mac models are OK a clean install as a last resort move may well fix it. After it happened to me a couple of times, I resigned myself to doing that occasionally. Look on the bright side, a clean install makes _everything_ run faster :)

We are seeing the iMessages logout on supported non-OCLP Macs running 15.6.1.
I suspect a backbone issue with iCloud.

To test I erased a couple of Macs and installed the last supported OS which was Monterey in this case and the problem persists. It is now affecting one M2 MM running Tahoe RC, one M1 MBA running Sequoia 15.6 and three MBAs running Monterey. This is clearly an Apple problem.

MBP 2014 Sequoia - severe freezes only on battery, random sleep, apps hang

Device and setup:

- MacBook Pro 13/15-inch (Mid 2014)

- macOS Sequoia installed via OpenCore Legacy Patcher (current release at time of posting)

Only on battery power, the system becomes intermittently unresponsive: spinning beach ball across apps (sometimes including System Settings/Finder), UI stalls, delayed input, and occasional total UI freeze requiring hard reboot.

Also, the machine sometimes goes to sleep/standby while actively in use (keyboard/mouse activity), and wake is unreliable. On AC power symptoms disappear.

EDIT: it gets FAR worse when turning the system on after sleep / hibernation

What I’ve already tried

- Reset SMC and NVRAM/PRAM (multiple times).

- Updated OCLP to latest, rebuilt and reinstalled OpenCore to disk, re-applied Post-Install Root Patches.

Anyone have similar issues?

I wonder if it's a regional issue, neither you, or @houser are in the U.S. I'm in the US, and haven't had this issue in the time frame you're talking about. I'm running 15.6.1 on an iMac 17,1. The freezing issue I had with messages a while back is gone too.
I am using patcher version 2.4.1.

Same issue in a different user?
Same issue with a good known system?
Same issue when booting up in to safe mode?
What do the feature settings in OCLP look like?
Download Coconut battery and check for any hints of issues with the battery itself.

A bit drastic, but maybe consider booting to a Big Sur or Monterey volume to see if the same behavior occurs.

Everything works perfectly from Monterey to Sequoia + OCLP + MacBook Pro [15-inch, Mid 2014] (with a new battery).

Hey guys,
Since I haven't seen any real mention of this on the thread, thought I would ask. Is OCLP version 3..0 coming out even if Tahoe isn't ready, or are they waiting until it's ready to release 3.0. Just wondering if it's going to contain any improvements / fixes to known working versions of macOS as well.

It is already out. I use it for both Seq and T26, it does not patch T26, but works well with Seq and auto downloads available KDKs. More info on the T26 thread.
